**Curation** is a process  where someone upvotes a content, meaning these persons must have staked some amount of Hp that enables them to upvote(support authors they find their work interesting) with a certain percentage of their vote value...

**Vote value**  generated by your Hp is a percentage amount of your total voting mana you wish to support an author with, mind you each upvotes  will reduce your vote value by the percentage  you choose to upvote an author with, however it also recharges frequently  based  on the amount of HP you have staked and how often you curate content.

So staking  more hive, gives you more vote value, and  recharges your voting mana faster as you keep supporting  more authors..

**Vote mana** displays the available  vote value you have in percentage, so you know how you curate and what you have left and the time will take to recharge to 100%...

**Hive Power (HP)**, your staked hive also helps you to be able to upvote other people's  content too and also get curation rewards at the end of the 7-day waiting period when the post reward is paid out.

Remember  your account is monitized, the more post you create, the more HP you accumulate,  the higher your HP (staked Hive) the higher your curation rewards and author rewards...

As your Hp accumulate, it's does three things first  generate what is called Resource credit(Rc) resources credit is like on-chain fee you need to pay to be able to create post, upvote or comment generally it helps you to carry on activities on hive.

Secondly Your Hp earns you Curators reward, after a post payout what ever a post generate is split in half, the first half goes to the author as author rewards, while the second half goes to curators *those who upvoted a content*,to the side of the curators now, your own rewards will come to you  according to the percentage or vote value you upvoted the author, the higher your Hp, the more curators  earning you will receive get.

Thirdly the more Hp you accumulate  the more author rewards you get on your post, see Hp as when you buy a company shares, which when dividend is paid out comes in the volume or according to the amount of shares you bought.
