I’m very excited to look at these images today. I thought I had the one I wanted last time around, but upon further investigation, it was not all that suitable due to a multitude of reasons. Here, there’s a bunch of things to consider, and even some variation of the original I thought I loved. 

Let’s take a quick look at the thumbnails (And acknowledge there’s two in here that look almost identical, as I was working through variations of that theme).

This lovely lass has a small Lion that looks like it is affectionately looking upon the eyes of its owner. She’s certainly at peace, but the folds of the dress are confusingly placed in reference to the lion’s body. Her body also kind of … ends abruptly and without visual explanation, leading to a poor level of quality in terms of a holistic image. Those who fear for AI taking the jobs of the traditional artist, need not be afraid, if people think an image such as this can pass for art.

In this next image (below) we see a variation of the image that has appeared several times throughout this series. Here the variation deviates from photo realism and correctly proportioned lions, leading to a disappointing outcome, with even less coherence in the character’s hands. (All three of them). Not a fine variation to consider.

This next image is amazing. The gaze of the character is really intense and powerful. The Lion is looking off into the distance with glazed, focused eyes, and the hands and fingers are rendered quite well. The thing I like the most about this is the character’s expression and the way the Lion lingers behind her. This is a serious contender for a final, and will be placed into my directory of potential finals.

Here we have a movie collage style poster of characters. It would look great with some overlaid text, and some additional information about a woman’s struggle to nurture her inner strength, or something. Or perhaps she’s some sort of shape shifter. What you’re probably getting from this wall of text is that this is an image I am not interested in as a result, as pretty and enamouring as some fictional narrative attached to it might become.

Finally, for today, we have another variant of the returning image of “lion behind woman.” This time, there are two lions present, and the hands are rendered well. While there is certainly room for improvement when it does come to the hands, for instance, the wrist joints, its pretty broken overall.

While I thought that this could possibly be the final image (And it has made an appearance again and again) it is not something I’m going to short list. We’ll see if there are other variations of this image in my future iterations and generations.
