My wife and I made it out for a walk in the evening after dinner and work so that we could take pics for wednesday walk. We went to a nice park and river walk near where we live, not long before sunset.  While there the sun really started to glow as it was going down and I caught it shining on part of a tree - it looked pretty cool to me.  The park we went to is called Saughton Park, which is along the Water of Leith walkway in Edinburgh, Scotland. The river walkway is about 9miles long in total and we hadnt done this section before.  We'd deliberately come here as I'd seen a ton of pics on twitter recently showing Kingfisher birds along the river, right at this section of the walk. I've always wanted to see one - but alas, we were not in luck this evening.  However, we enjoyed our walk all the same, even if it did start snowing (!) when we were out - you can just about see the snow flakes in the pic above.  The sunset was quite pretty, lending a lovely orange glow to the horizon.  Along the walk we came across this piece of graffiti on a fence that I think is pretty cool. I was struggling to read what it says, but I really like the design !  And these anti-climbing spikes were on the post of a pipe-bridge going over the walk - I thought they looked pretty cool.  We also passed some nice daffodils.  And also whatever the plant is above - I've no idea what, but I liked it !  As we were coming back, the sunset was starting to shine of everything, which was quite cool.  Including the trees along the edge of the park.  We were also getting some dramatic atmospherics due to the snow clouds !  But the sunset was doing it for me !  So it was a really nice walk all in all - I'm glad for this community event because it really is making me get out each wednesday - and I'm all the better for it !  And just before we got back to the car, we passed the local skate park. I would have loved one of these where I lived when I was growing up !  And the pic above was taken outside our apartment after we got home. The cherry blossoms are currently out and I just love them. Here you can see the trees are still in full bloom, but beginning to shed some of the flowers which is covering the ground in a lovely pink carpet ! Anyway - hope you are all having a great wednesday !
