<div class="text-justify"> <center>*created with banner maker (andriod app)*</center> When we hear of artificial intelligence, what comes to mind first is usually ChatGPT. Well, they have made their name known in the AI market, but the truth is that AI is so integrated into our electronic devices both online and offline than we can even think about, like smartphone charging, keyboard predictions and autocorrect, camera scene detection, fingerprint and face unlock and more too numerous to mention. If we consider online AI, then we have the YouTube, Facebook, TikTok and Google suggestions, auto emails sorting and more. Then talk about the Gemini, ChatGPT, Grammarly and Duplichecker. One thing all these AI has in common is that it makes the use of electronic devices and life at large easier and more efficient. Before the popular use of AI in 2021s till date, people had relied on gradual search and collection of data and information from the Internet, but today, AI makes it easier to retrieve information no matter the date of creation. However, every good thing has its downside. One very major thing that is happening now is that AI doesn't give we humans space to think creatively. You'd be shocked to see a prompt such as, 'how should I bathe in the morning' but the funny thing is not even the prompt but the fact that AI still has an answer to such a prompt. On a normal day, this question won't even be answered by a mother if you had to stop and ask her anywhere. In essence, I'm trying to point out that humans are now depending excessively on these AIs and in the future it could potentially lead to lack of creativity. [source](https://pixabay.com/photos/computer-artificial-intelligence-ai-7718768/) Also, there is the current global problem of telling real from fake. We are close to that era when the fact will be subjected to scrutiny because of possible forgery. Different AI can make anybody sound and look like anybody and it's actually cool and has its use case, but when in the wrong hand, this particular AI could even be used to disturb the peace of nations and their economies. I recently watched a YouTube video where an online medical adviser was telling people to not consider a video where he appeared and was advertising some supplements to his followers while telling them to forget their medical prescription. He was highlighting how bad it would be to the health of people who cannot tell the difference between a real video and an AI made-up video. https://youtube.com/shorts/9Aufa9SL7QM?si=dGOneJaytgAk41bk I believe strongly that AI is a beautiful thing that has come to man ever since man's inventions. Some experiments which could take up to 50 years or more to complete are being concluded in 3 to 6 months with the help of AI. There is so much more that we enjoy from AI just like the offline ones in our phones that I highlighted earlier that you wouldn't even consider as AI. I believe that AI has done and will still do more good to humans than harm. However, I also think that authorities could specifically discover those harmful ways which AI is being used and work towards eliminating such practices. Also, AI online enlightenment could be started so that people could ask correct questions or know when to engage or not engage with a content that may harm them. AI has come to stay but what fascinates me more is the technology that could likely lie ahead of us. <center>*Thanks for reading. That part about people asking AI how to bathe cracked me up ๐ but itโs also true,weโre outsourcing basic thinking. AI should assist, not replace common sense. This post is a reminder that how we use AI will shape the future more than the AI itself. Well said!

I fully agree. My concern about the future is whether we should now lay the groundwork for programming an "AI ethics" for the development of emotive algorithms. If they were to take control of human life in the future, given their growing creative capacity, what behaviors would they inherit? Would they be tyrannical or harmonizing? **How much do such behaviors depend on us, who hold the reins now?**

I really like how you highlighted not just the popular examples like ChatGPT and Gemini but also the subtle, everyday uses of AI -like fingerprint unlock and keyboard predictions- that we often overlook. It's amazing how deeply AI has become integrated into our lives, even in ways we don't often recognise. At the same time, your concerns are very valid. The overdependence on AI for even the most basic tasks could definitely dull our critical thinking and creativity over time. And the rise of deepfakes and misinformation is a serious issue that we need to tackle quickly and responsibly I completely agree with your conclusion -AI is a powerful tool and like any other powerful tool, it depends on how we use it. Raising awareness about responsible use and educating people on how to spot misuse is key. This was a great read - thanks you for sharing such a thoughtful take on the topic ๐ค

I totally agree with what you wrote; "AI online enlightenment could be started so that people could ask correct questions or know when to engage or not engage with a content that may harm them". This is a valid point, because people tend to abuse the use of AI, thereby misleading ignorant people.
