Hello my friends! Chef Incublus is here. I'm sorry I haven't been with you for a while because I haven't been trying new recipes, and because I haven't been trying new recipes, I haven't been sharing them. Today I'm going to share with you my favorite dish lately. If you've been on my Friday shows, I've been talking a lot about cauliflower lately, because I love it! 

Before I get to the recipe, let me tell you why I love cauliflower so much. My mom has been making cauliflower salad since we were little and I love this salad just like every dish she makes. My brother loves cauliflower as much as I do, but I had never cooked cauliflower myself before. One day on my way home, I saw it for sale in the market and I was craving it. I bought it because I thought I could cook it somehow. Even though I had a hard time the first time I cooked it, I got used to it because I have cooked it at least 10 times so far. For me, trying something for the first time can always be challenging, but as you keep doing it, everything becomes practical and you learn the tricks.

Alright, we are ready for the recipe. First of all, you need to cut this wonderful cauliflower that you see whole. I know it already looks like it's ready to fall apart, but it might not be that easy. Maybe there is another way, but I cut the root and let those branches come out. When the branches come out, I cut them into pieces. Then I put them in a pot and wash them under water. After washing them, I put them back in the pot and they are ready to boil. You can see the size of the cauliflower pieces in the photos. If they are too small, they will melt and if they are too big, they will not cook properly or they will cook very difficult. Make sure that the stalk is not too big. They will also delay the cooking or the bottom may still be raw when the top is cooked.

We put it on the stove, close the lid and boil it for about 15 minutes. You will see it bubbling when it is already boiling. When it foams, open the lid and let it continue to boil for a while. Check the hardness with a fork from time to time and when the fork easily sinks into the cauliflower, you can tell that it is cooked. Then remove from the stove. Be careful, the steam can burn your face!

After draining the water, you are ready to eat! Just kidding, we have to add the spices and oil first. Drizzle the olive oil over the cauliflower, you can adjust it according to your taste. Squeeze the juice of half a lemon and then add salt and paprika. All this will give it a very nice flavor.

Then you can plate it and that's it. This time you are really ready to eat. Another reason why I love this recipe is because it's so practical. In 30 minutes everything is ready.  You can eat it with bread or you can eat it as a salad if you are on a diet. It is a very satisfying meal. 

I took some close-up photos for you, and the cauliflower looks very strange. Especially when you look closely. It looks just like tiny trees, doesn't it?

Selam dostlarım! Şef Incublus sizlerle. Bir süredir aranızda olamadığım için üzgünüm çünkü yeni tarifler denemiyorum ve denemediğim için de paylaşamıyorum. Bugün sizinle son zamanlardaki favori yemeğimi paylaşacağım. Cuma günleri düzenlediğim şovlara katıldıysanız son günlerde sıkça karnabahardan bahsediyorum. Çünkü çok seviyorum! 



Tarife geçmeden önce karnabaharı neden bu kadar sevdiğimi söyleyeyim. Annem bizim küçüklüğümüzden beri karnabahar salatasını yapar ve ben onun yaptığı her yemek gibi bu salataya da bayılıyorum. Kardeşim de benim gibi çok sever ama daha önce kendim karnabahar pişirmemiştim. Bir gün eve dönerken pazarda satıldığını gördüm ve canım çekti. Bir şekilde pişirebileceğimi düşündüğüm için aldım. İlk pişirmemde zorlansam da şu ana kadar en az 10 kere pişirdiğim için alıştım. Benim açımdan bir şeyi ilk defa denemek her zaman zorlayıcı olabilir ama yapmaya devam ettikçe her şey pratikleşiyor ve püf noktalarını öğreniyorsunuz.

Evet, tarife hazırız. Öncelikle bütün halde gördüğünüz bu harika karnabaharı dal dal kesmeniz gerekiyor. Zaten parçalanmaya müsait göründüğünü biliyorum ama işler o kadar da kolay olmayabilir. Belki bunun başka bir yolu vardır ama ben kökünü kesip o dalların ortaya çıkmasını sağlıyorum. Dallar ortaya çıkınca da o dallardan parçalıyorum. Daha sonra tencereye alıyorum ve güzelce suyun altında yıkıyorum. Yıkadıktan sonra tekrar tencereye alıyorum ve kaynamaya hazır haldeler. Fotoğraflarda karnabahar parçalarının büyüklüğünü görebilirsiniz. Çok küçük olursa erirler ve çok büyük olurlarsa da düzgün pişmezler ya da çok zor pişerler. Dal kısmının çok büyük olmamasına dikkat edin. Onlar da pişmelerini geciktirir ya da üst kısım piştiğinde altı hala çiğ kalabilir.

Ocağa koyuyoruz ve kapağı kapatıp 15 dakika kadar kaynatıyoruz. Zaten kaynadığında köpürdüğünü göreceksiniz. Köpürdüğünde kapağını açın ve bir süre daha kaynamaya devam etsin. Çatalla sertliğini ara ara kontrol edin ve çatal kolayca karnabahara battığında piştiğini anlayabilirsiniz. Daha sonra ocaktan alın. Dikkat edin buhar yüzünüzü yakabilir!

Suyunu süzdükten sonra yemeye hazırsınız! Şaka yapıyorum önce baharatlarını ve yağını eklemeliyiz. Zeytin yağını karnabaharın üzerinde gezdirin, kendi zevkinize göre ayarlayabilirsiniz. Yarım limonun suyunu sıkın ve sonrasında tuz ve kırmızı biber ekleyin. Bütün bunlar ona çok güzel tat verecektir.

Daha sonra tabağa alabilirsiniz ve işte bu kadar. Bu sefer gerçekten yemeye hazırsınız. Bu tarifi çok sevmemin bir başka sebebi de pratik olması. 30 dakikada her şey hazır.  Ekmekle birlikte yiyebilirsiniz ya da diyetteyseniz salata olarak da yiyebilirsiniz. Çok da doyurucu bir öğün.
