Greetings my dear friends, it makes me very happy to share with you a new publication in this community, it is always a pleasure to read your experiences full of learning and tips that can be very useful. But it is also an honor to be received with open arms and to be able to share my own experiences and opinions. 

Today I want to talk about a topic that we have been hearing a lot about lately, or at least I have. Overcoming stages or, as they say, closing cycles, although I prefer to call it "letting go in order to grow". Why? Well, because I think that many of those "stages" leave us stagnant to the point that we can't move, and therefore we can't grow as people. 

The past is everywhere, especially in networks, we can see a lot of information about how to overcome a breakup, unrequited friendships, harmful habits and also toxic relationships, it is a very long list to which every day something new is added, all of them part of life and with which at some point we will have to deal with.

Saludo a mis queridos amigos me hace muy feliz volver a compartir con ustedes una nueva publicación en esta comunidad, siempre es un placer leer sus experiencias llenas de aprendizaje y consejos que puedan ser muy útiles. Pero también es todo un honor ser recibida con los brazos abiertos y poder compartir mis propias experiencias y opiniones. 

Hoy quiero hablar sobre un tema del que últimamente hemos escuchado mucho, o por lo menos yo lo he hecho. Superar etapas o como dicen por ahí, cerrar ciclos, aunque yo prefiero llamarlo "soltar para poder crecer". ¿Por que? Bueno porque pienso que muchas de esas "etapas" nos dejan estancados al punto de que no podemos movernos, y por lo tanto tampoco crecer como personas. 

El pasado por todas partes, especialmente en redes, podemos ver un montón de información sobre Cómo superar alguna ruptura amorosa, amistades no correspondidas, costumbres dañinas y también relaciones tóxicas, es una lista larguísima a la que todos los días se le agrega algo nuevo, todas ellas parte de la vida y con las que en algún momento tendremos que lidiar.

There are moments in life when our emotions are too intense, they compress our chest and sometimes we even find it hard to breathe because of them, in these moments all we want is to feel a little better, leave everything behind and start over in a different way. Sometimes these changes are related to some physical changes, paint but hair a different color, start dressing in a different style and blah blah blah. 

All this can certainly work a little bit, sometimes we need a physical change to take the step to make a little deeper change, the mental one. But sometimes wanting to make change in a hurried way, we fail to overcome that stage of our life, and we have it on our shoulders for a long time doing heavy drying and preventing us from walking as we should. 

This is because somehow we get used to think that we can fix the internal, fixing the external, looking better or different and the truth is that it is not at all like that, overcoming a stage takes time and effort like everything else.

Hay momentos en la vida en los que nuestras emociones son demasiado intensas, nos comprimen el pecho y a veces hasta nos cuesta respirar debido a ellas, en estos momentos lo único que queremos es sentirnos un poco mejor, dejar todo atrás y comenzar de nuevo de una manera diferente. A veces se relacionan estos cambios con algunos cambios físicos, pintar pero el cabello de otro color, comenzar a vestirse con un estilo diferente y bla bla bla. 

Todo esto sin duda puede funcionar un poco, a veces necesitamos un cambio físico para dar el paso de hacer un cambio un poco más profundo, el mental. Pero a veces queriendo hacer cambio de una manera apresurada, no logramos superar esa etapa de nuestra vida, y la tenemos en nuestros hombros durante mucho tiempo haciendo secado de más pesada y impidiéndonos caminar como deberíamos. 

Esto es porque de alguna manera nos acostumbramos a pensar que podemos arreglar lo interno, arreglando lo externo, viendonos mejor o diferentes y la verdad es que no es para nada así, superar una etapa lleva tiempo y esfuerzo como todo.

I remember clearly that since I was a child I could see around me how when someone close to me was going through a difficult time, the immediate solution was to go shopping for clothes or to the hairdresser to get dressed up, of course when I saw this I believed that magically the ills of the heart would go away, if we were going to buy new clothes and so on. 

The truth is that these activities can distract us for a while from the pain or negative emotion that is choking our being. But at the end of these activities it is still the same or worse than at the beginning. For me the stage of adolescence was really complicated, it was mixed with several difficult situations in my family and around me, so during all that stage I had about 10 different haircuts and also different colors.

But a little bit older I realized that doing that only made me not face things the way I should, and as a result I didn't learn how to do it correctly. Now as an adult I understand many things and I know that instead of avoiding feeling, we need to feel in order to learn from it, accept, forgive and finally overcome.

Recuerdo clarito que desde niña pude ver a mi alrededor como cuando alguien cercano pasaba por un momento difícil, la solución inmediata era vámonos a comprar ropa o a la peluquería a arreglarnos, por supuesto al ver esto yo creía que mágicamente los males del corazón se iban, si íbamos a comprar ropa nueva y así. 

La verdad es que estas actividades pueden distraer un rato de el dolor o la emoción negativa que esté ahogando nuestro ser. Pero al terminar estas actividades aquello sigue igual o peor que al principio. Para mí la etapa de la adolescencia fue realmente complicada, se mezcló con varias situaciones difíciles en mi familia y a mi alrededor, Así que durante toda esa etapa tuve como 10 cortes de cabello diferente y también de diferentes colores.

Pero un poco más de grande me di cuenta de que hacer eso solo logró que no enfrentara las cosas como debía, y como resultado no aprendí correctamente hacerlo. Ahora más adulta comprendo muchas cosas y sé que en lugar de evitar sentir, es necesario que sintamos para poder aprender de ello, aceptar, perdonsr y finalmente superar.

Overcoming a difficult stage can bring us a new look, of course, but it must also be accompanied by many moments to think, learn from the situation and feel, because if we hold back the urge to cry or look for thousands of things to do to avoid thinking, we will only manage to give more and more time to the matter, it will be a little more difficult to move forward and stay with the good, learning from the bad. 

Reflecting on what happened, on what hurt and everything else, will be a good way to grow a little and in a future similar situation, we will know how to handle it. Reading about the subject or information that will allow us to grow a little bit, praying to God and listening to Him as well, are ways that will surely make everything more bearable, while we grow in the process and that has helped me a lot, to overcome stages.

Superar una etapa difícil puede traernos un nuevo look, claro que si, pero también debe ir acompañado de muchos momentos para pensar, aprender de la situación y sentir, porque si nos aguantamos las ganas de llorar o buscamos miles de cosas que hacer para no pensar, solo lograremos darle más y más largas al asunto, se nos dificultará un poquito más seguir adelante y quedarnos con lo bueno, aprendiendo de lo malo. 

Reflexionar sobre lo que ocurrió, sobre lo que dolió y todo lo demás, será una buena manera de crecer un poco y en una futura situación similar, sabremos cómo manejarlo. Leer sobre el tema o información que nos permita hacer crecer otro poco, orar a Dios y escucharle también, son maneras qué seguro nos harán más llevadero todo, mientras crecemos en el proceso y eso me ha ayudado mucho a mi, a superar etapas.
