Visited Key Thought for the second time around

December 04, 2022 was a schedule of our church members recreation activity. Many dates were given as suggestion but December 04, Sunday won.

Evening of December 03, we prepared everything we need. My husband prepare for some food while me prepare for the things to bring like utensils, water and clothes.

On the other hand,I encourage my son to sleep early so he could wake up early too because our assemble time is 4am. He agreed but with condition, he wanted his *salbabida* or life preserver to be by his side. Look at this picture, he really sleep with it, lol.

5am was the planned departure time. Everyone was in the bus before 5am except one family. We are waiting for them and still they are expecting that they were the first to arrive, oh might be they thought that 5am is the assemble time, lol.

We leave our place at about 5:20 in the morning and we reach at the main gate of the beach around 6:50 in the morning. We traveled 1 and half hour.

The beach is a little far from the gate and we need to hike going down. The bus can't go down there because it would have a hard time going back so we decided to hike. Everyone carry our things and everyone help each other.

When we reach there, we started the day with a devotional to thanks God for the safe travel and for the gift of life. We did our breakfast after and everyone is free to do what they want in the beach.

I was assigned to collect for our entrance, cottage and transportation so I'm a bit busy for a while.

When I'm done with my obligation, I then went to enjoy swimming. Some of our churchmate invited us to go and ride a boat. It costs 50.00 ($1) to ride. I really wanted to ride it because I never experienced to ride a boat since.

Without second thought, we decided to join and at last I can say that after 34 years, I already rode a boat. It is also my 5 year old son first time.

We really enjoyed the moment. I know that I don't know how to swim so I really look for a life vest.

The pump boat operator stop in one area which when we look at it, the water looks like color green. The water is so clear that we almost see the sand of the ground. Those who knows to swim directly jump to the water and enjoy swimming while I was there in the boat. They really encouraged me to go down to make the experience really worth it.

So with their help and with the help of the life vest I slowly go down holding the side of the boat, lol. It was a great experience and after few moments we decided to go up in the voat and go back to the beach where we came from. 

Other church members became worried because its a long time that we were gone. They asked what took us so long? Then we told them that we had swimming in the great spot of the ocean. They saw how happy we are, so they also decided to ride a boat. They were the second batch in our group.

When I was there for the first time I really appreciate the water, its so clean and clear. The ocean is at peace and we never experienced big waves.  I love the place and I really enjoyed its beautiful view. I never took a lot of pictures this time unlike in our first visit because I already shared it here.

Look at this young girl, our neighbor, who found me taking some stolen shots, she then pose in front of me wearing her great smile. So, I took a picture of her.

Beside key thought beach is the JML beach where they make stairs going up to the mountain. We decides to climb up there and was amazed what we can see from there.

Up there, I saw those small boats where fishermen looked for fish.

When you look left, you can see the cottages below.

When you look right, you can see this part where no one is swimming because it is restricted. The water level is so high and it is dangerous for swimming.

This is me and my son. This is our remembrance up there.

It was really a great day together with our churchmate. It was first after three years because we haven't have this during two years of pandemic.

It was almost 4 in the afternoon when we hike again going up where the bus wait for us.

The waters appear so inviting. I live just above the 49t9th parallel North so the waters of South British Columbia are naturally cold even by my standards but I still love the oceans and beaches regardless of climate.

Wow, am missing something funny oo. Just that there is no beach near my city. It's located in a far distant state faraway from me. Maybe, on my next visit to Lagos state, I will visit a beach.

Thank you for bringing us on this magnificent journey. I am so in love with the blue sea. The water is so clear, and spending time with your loved one might add another bonus to your adventure. I also have a girls' trip planned with my cousins soon. Now we are just planning ahead, and it might be in the near future. It's been awhile since we didn't spend our time together since most of us have our own families to look after.
