I read something the other day about learned helpless that talked about how a captive baby elephant can be tethered with a bit of rope and as hard as it tries, it cannot break free, so it stops trying. It accepts that there is no point trying to break the rope and even when it reaches adulthood and it could easily break the rope (or even chain) it doesn't. 

Yesterday, we took the kids to a indoor soft play area and as we were sitting down watching them play, drinking tea, the conversation started (again) about how we are all living in a false reality and how I think that a lot of people believe they are happy because they are unaware that they are living in world/system that has been built and engineered to make them think so. 

My girlfriend got quite upset about this and started telling me that there was no point talking about any of this stuff and that it is better to be ignorant because there is nothing we can do about it and I should just live in the moment and forget about it all. She told me she isn't interested in looking into the things I look into because it is depressing and it doesn't do any good and just makes me angry and sad.

She's got a point about me getting angry and sad (although the majority of the time I am happy thanks to my family), but it's hard not to feel that way when you believe that famine, war and a lot of the diseases (both mental and physical) that are affecting the citizens of planet earth are not an accident, and are in fact a planned result of policies and decisions being made by a tiny minority of psychopaths who control the world.

She asked me repeatedly, "What can we do about it?" and "What are you doing about it?" and the only answer I could give was that I am trying to raise awareness of the issues in any way I can, including speaking to anyone who will listen (not many) but most importantly by trying to educate our children so that rather than just accept the world as it is they ask questions and do not just believe unquestionably what they are told (and that includes the things I tell them). The problem in my opinion is lack of awareness because how can people fight against something if they are unaware of it?

To give my girlfriend (of 20 years) credit, she doesn't think I am a conspiracy theorist lunatic and believes a lot of what I say and it is partially my fault that she feels there is no point fighting against the powers that should not be considering some of the stuff I've told her.

When someone tells you that a few clans have been shaping the world for centuries and have managed to infiltrate and control pretty much every aspect of our lives it is hard to see a way out, but she's falling into the learned helplessneess trap in my opinion.

We've been programmed (educated) from birth to believe that we are free and we live in a democracy. Countries/leaders/people that try something different are discredited and destroyed while we cheer on the destruction, and it has got to the point now where most people not only believe that they are free, but even if they have a vague idea that things could be better they immediately think that it is pointless to try to do anything about it.

This is learned helplessness in my opinion and it is bullshit. I can understand it but it's still bullshit. People need to realise that the world is only the way it is because we allow to be so. We consent to it by continuing to accept the wars, corruption and destruction of the planet as if these things are out of our control. A system has been constructed around us and a huge amount of effort has been put into ensuring that not too many people are able to see it for what it is.

It is the irony of it all that is the most frustrating thing. We have the power inside of us to end all this shit tomorrow if only a few more percent of the worlds population were able to raise their consciousness and see the world for what it is and what it could be if enough people rejected the status quo. By voting we give consent, by falling for the tricks like 'nationalism' or 'statism' we are divided and therefore unable to see that the divisions are being created and we are being manipulated.

Once a critical mass of people become aware of how the game works and start speaking to others, it's over and a new game can begin where everyone gets to have a say on the rules. The powers that be are desperately trying to make sure that the crititcal mass of awareness isn't reached. They are quite happy for less than 1% of the population to be aware, they can be dismissed as 'conspiracy theorists'. They are no threat and can be managed reasonably effectively but what if that number went up to 2% or 3%? What about 5%?

People are waking up. I see it, I read it and I feel it. It's happening slowly but it's unstoppable. That is why I will not shut up about it.
