I was reading a post today and the poster talked about a top-10 earner on Hive who hasn't made a single comment in one month. So I am guessing this included no replies to comments (if they had any on their posts) and no comments on other people's posts.


 The post criticized people who would put such users on auto-votes and leave the vote on for years, despite their recent/constant bad behavior on the chain. It was shocking to read because Hive can provide so much value to a person and still treat the chain with such contempt. I have known people like that over the years, and sometimes I gradually dissociate from them until I have no ties to them. 


This is why you can "know" someone for two years and then "unknow" them in the third year simply because their behavior and priority in the chain have changed.


***Two Cannot Work Together Except They Agree (Amos 3:3)***


 It is difficult to remain loyal to someone or continue interacting with them despite the unfounded *FUD* they spread or the new disdainful behavior they have developed; most of the time, loyalty to the chain comes first. Their actions no longer benefit the chain, so the solution is simple: dissociation. 


For example, there are people I am not friends with, but I follow them because they are stand-up people. Their behavior aligns with and matches the reputation they have established over the years, and because they are not your typical people, their behavior aligns with yours, resulting in an automatic liason. 



The Hive is a place where people can regularly say negative things about the chain while expecting others to see them positively. They continue to do business here despite FUDing the chain at every opportunity. They talk about preferring Twitter but remain consistent here. I mean, you can not hate an ugly man or woman, but like their money, this must be **loyalty 101**, but as I have said countless times, the web only has a few loyal people. 





I was recently reading the conversation of two people (one of them is very big on Hive) recently talking about some type of toxicity on Hive. They discussed Hive not allowing AI content, whales being too centralized, and how they prefer Twitter.



 Now, I understand the first person, but I do not understand the second person being a popular Hive user, receiving funding for their project, and still speaking negatively about this place after it has done so much for them.  I mean, Hive is the one place where people can poop and still want to return to their poop. 



It is similar to someone saying their ex-fiance or fiancee is toxic, but they still return to them for the added benefit. It simply demonstrates that using Hive has little to no consequences. It demonstrates that this is one of the few places on the internet where you can vomit and still want to feast on that vomit.



## Regarding Reputation, I believe it is your alter ego.

In reality, reputation is the identity or recognition that you have managed to establish over time.

 It could be either positive or negative. On Hive, reputation is more than just a score assigned to your username; it is your identity, which people can recognize. I understand that Hive can be vengeful; many people will make sure you are punished for cultivating bad behavior here.


 For someone like me, I mostly choose dissociation, and that's because I feel it speaks better than vengefulness and matches my Christian Faith. Ignoring or completely dissociating from others is not a sin; rather, it is something I have mastered. On Hive, this could mean turning off that autovote, reducing it, or completely ceasing to interact with such individuals. 


> I believe that people have the potential to do better.

 Hive needs a lot more loyalty than it is currently getting and that's because in web3, loyalty builds projects. We can have all of these flaws and still claim to have the best project in web3. Are we? No. We have a prospect, but promoting what we have, no matter how imperfect, demonstrates loyalty.


 For example, no one goes ahead and says their wife or husband is ugly, even if others think so. In general, I believe that people are not ugly; they simply lack the necessary enablement to sparkle. The same phenomenon applies to Hive.

 Instead of using derogatory criticism, you can choose something else. At the end of the day, Hive is what it is because of the people who have unwavering devotion to this place. This is why I believe everyone should be mindful. Personally, I avoid bad actors, and I believe that doing the same will send the right message.
