***Code red, code red!! All residents should evacuate themselves from this area, a hurricane is on its way to hit, this is not a drill, it is an emergency.***

That was the message blasting all across Townsville, a hurricane was coming and most residents including Jake and his wife, Anna were panicking.
 
“What were they going to do”, they asked themselves and how were they going to survive the next couple of hours.

They began thinking of how their day started, and who would have realized that this was how it was going to end.

Their day had started very usual, Jake and Anna were in the process of getting a divorce due to certain issues, and they were trying to figure out how they were going to tell their kids who were coming back home from their grandparents in a few hours.

Even though they both loved each other, they weren't happy and they felt like divorce was the best fate for them.

They thought of different ways to explain the divorce to their children but none made sense, so, they concluded that they were going to give themselves a week to figure out what to say and then headed to work.

Around five when they got home, Anna decided to put on the television to watch the news when the broadcast message came on which prompted them to start packing.

They were almost done packing their essentials when they got an alarming call from Jake's parents who had their kids;

>**“Jake, we just heard about the hurricane but there is one by problem, the kids are the other side of town at a friend’s house and we can't go get them”**

>**”Mom, what do you mean by that, there is a hurricane coming and it is going to hit that side of town first, how do you expect us to get there, get the kids and leave the town, why would you let them go without asking us?”**

His mother couldn't say anything and Jake was beyond angry, but, he had to get his kids so he told Anna to get to safety but, she refused saying “wherever you go, I go”.

Immediately after that, they got into the car and started driving to get the kids, they had called the children and apparently, their friend’s parents didn't believe that a hurricane was coming so they weren't evacuating.

Jake drove as fast as he could and the moment he got to their kids, a heavy rain began with strong winds and he knew that the hurricane was coming.

He quickly rushed them into the car and began driving but, as he drove, skin holes started appearing on the road which he tried his best to dodge.

As he did this, Aden his last child was crying while his wife was trying to calm him down and Jessy their first daughter was screaming, there was so much chaos going on that Jake didn't see a sinkhole emerging and the car fell into it.

While they fell, his wife, Anna mouthed I love you to him and something sparked in him which made him rev his car, and they flew out of the hole back to the road.

They continue driving until they got to the camp outside the town, they were safe, and even though, they had lost their homes amongst other things, they were together and they had chance for a new beginning.
