Learning From Google About Google Tools and Products

Been attending the Google Learning course organized by Mahir Google Learning Group which was recommended by @joannewong for the third time now. So far, I picked up a few useful tools that I can instantly utilize for my business. At first, I thought I knew quite a lot about Google and I had gain new perspective and know how about Google’s tool after the short class.

A summary of takeaway for the class:
1. Search engine is a super node where it gathers all the “demand” from different potential customers. Thus, it is crucial to have a present under this super node so that the business can be connected to the end users.
2. Google My Business is a free tool to get your business listed on Google. Be there, be valuable and be quick when you are on there, then it will bring your business to success.
3. Through Google My Business, you can set up a free website (more like a landing page) that could share your business information like latest announcement, events info, products and also contacts.
4. When you deal with business reviews on your Google listing, you gotta be responsive especially dealing with negative reviews. Make a courtesy reply and state that you will deal with the problem. This shows that your business is responsive and customer oriented.
5. You can post promotion, products, menu, and other important announcement on Google My Business and get found in Google Search just like how we deal with social media. A plus is that, it is free too!
6. It is important to ensure your site is responsive and have a loading time less than 3 seconds.
7. Through Google Primer app, you can learn different skill set for free.

There are more inputs that I get from the course and I’m also looking in depth on AdWords and SEO so that I could be good in getting my business to the top listing in Google Search. Through Market Finder, you could actually know what’s the trending key words and play the right campaign for your business. In addition to that, this tool is also free to use! However, it will be time consuming to dig on the right words and improving SEO. However, it is more like an accumulation and it should be done time to time so that we could build up the foundation and get our website to be more and more relevant.
