Es ist kaum zwei Wochen her,als meine Freundin und ich an der französischen Küste des Golfs von Biskaya verweilten. Und schon schwelge ich in Erinnerungen an eine schöne Zeit in Biscarosse Plage im französischen Departement Landes, während ich meine geknipsten Bilder betrachte und ordne.

It was barely a fortnight ago that my girlfriend and I stayed on the French coast of the Bay of Biscay. And already I'm reminiscing about a wonderful time in Biscarosse Plage in the French department of Landes, as I look at and organise my snapped pictures.

Hace apenas quince días que mi novia y yo nos quedamos en la costa francesa del Golfo de Vizcaya. Y ya estoy recordando un tiempo maravilloso en Biscarosse Plage, en el departamento francés de las Landas, mientras miro y organizo las fotos que he tomado.

Dabei erinnere ich mich an wunderbare Sonnenuntergänge über dem Atlantik in den verschiedensten Farbtönen und Lichteinflüssen, während ich im Duoro-Tal (Portugal), wo wir gerade seit ein paar Tagen zwischen unzähligen Weinreben verweilen, in der Morgensonne Kaffee trinkend unsere Powerstation von Ecoflow mit 90 Watt purer Sonnenenergie aufpowere.

I remember wonderful sunsets over the Atlantic Ocean in a wide variety of colours and light influences, while in the Duoro Valley (Portugal), where we have just been staying for a few days among countless vines, I am drinking coffee in the morning sun and powering up our Ecoflow power station with 90 watts of pure solar energy.

Recuerdo maravillosas puestas de sol sobre el océano Atlántico con una gran variedad de colores e influencias lumínicas, mientras que en el valle del Duoro (Portugal), donde acabamos de pasar unos días entre innumerables viñedos, estoy tomando café al sol de la mañana y alimentando nuestra central eléctrica Ecoflow con 90 vatios de pura energía solar.

Auch erinnere mich an die wenigen Menschen der Nebensaison, die wie wir, staunend oder spazierend den immer noch 23°C warmen Atlantik ehrfürchtig und verträumt geniessen. Oder an das Hochzeitspaar, welches dem Fotoshooting am Rande des verpielten Wellenspiels des wilden Meeres bei Sonnenuntergang widmeten.

I also remember the few people in the off-season who, like us, marvel at the still 23°C warm Atlantic in awe and dream. Or the wedding couple who, at their peak, devoted themselves to a photo shoot at the edge of the playful waves of the wild sea at sunset.

También recuerdo a las pocas personas que en temporada baja, como nosotros, se maravillan y sueñan con el Atlántico aún caliente a 23°C. O la pareja de novios que, en su mejor momento, se dedicó a la sesión de fotos al borde de las juguetonas olas del mar salvaje al atardecer.

Oder ich erinnere mich am die Holzpfade, welche sich vom Strand zum Meer der grünen Pinienwälder, durch die hohen Sanddünen schlängelten.

Auch errinnere ich mich an die in der Nebensaison fast menschenleeren Fussgängerzonen und Strandpfade von Biscarrosse Plage, wo es kurze Zeit davor in der Hauptsaison wahrscheinlich nur so von hungrigen und sonnenhungrigen Touristen gewimmelt haben muss.

También recuerdo las zonas peatonales y los senderos de la playa de Biscarrosse Plage casi desiertos en temporada baja, cuando poco antes, en temporada alta, debían de estar repletos de turistas hambrientos y ávidos de sol.

Und natürlich errinnere ich mich an den sich bis zum Horizont reichenden Himmel, der manchmal in tiefem wolkenlosem Blau erschien und einen Tag danach sich mit sich ständig wechselndem Wolkenspiel bedeckte.

Doch auch an weniger schöne Dinge erinnere ich mich. So zum Beispiel an die Spuren der verheerenden Waldbrände des Sommers 2022 (im Bild nur eine kleine Fläche am Rande von bewohntem Gebiet in Biscarrosse Plage), welche bei langer Trockenheit und Temperaturen von bis 40°C in ganz Europa gewütet haben. Die Zone um die grösste Sanddüne Europas, die 20 Kilometer von Biscarrosse entfernt gelegene "Dune de Pilat" hat es schlimm erwischt und grosse Flächen der Pinienewälder und einige Campingplätze im Gebiet sind verbrannt. Strassen und Fahrradwege in Richtung der Düne waren für Autos, Fahrräder und Fussgänger gesperrt und bei günstigem Wind lag der Geruch nach verbranntem Holz in der Luft.

Die Bilder habe ich mit der Nikon D5600 und dem Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro aufgenommen und mit Snapseed bearbeitet.

 Pero también recuerdo cosas menos bonitas. Por ejemplo, las huellas de los devastadores incendios forestales del verano de 2022 (en la imagen, sólo una pequeña zona en el límite de las áreas habitadas en Biscarrosse Plage), que hicieron estragos en toda Europa durante una larga sequía y temperaturas de hasta 40°C. La zona alrededor de la mayor duna de arena de Europa, la "Duna de Pilat", a 20 kilómetros de Biscarrosse, se vio muy afectada.
