<p>Siguiendo con las reseñas de los libros que conforman El cementerio de los libros olvidados, tetralogía escrita por el autor español Carlos Ruiz Zafón, hoy vengo a comentarles del segundo libro que conforma esta saga. Este es, como el título de esta publicación lo indica, El juego del ángel.

>Continuing with the reviews of the books that make up The Cemetery of Forgotten Books, tetralogy written by the Spanish author Carlos Ruiz Zafón, today I come to tell you about the second book that makes up this saga. This is, as the title of this publication indicates, El juego del ángel (The Angel's Game).

<p>Cabe mencionar que es el segundo de la saga por fecha de publicación, ya que de hecho la historia transcurre incluso antes de que nuestro protagonista Daniel Sempere (que conocemos en el primer libro) nazca. No obstante, el eje central de toda esta historia no deja de ser la familia Sempere y sus secretos, esos que podemos ir armando a medida que avanzamos en los libros y llegamos al final, por eso es que comparan esta tetralogía con una telaraña bien entretejida.

>It is worth mentioning that it is the second of the saga by publication date, since in fact the story takes place even before our protagonist Daniel Sempere (who we meet in the first book) is born. However, the central axis of this whole story is still the Sempere family and their secrets, those that we can put together as we progress through the books and reach the end, which is why this tetralogy is compared to a well-woven spider's web.

<p>Si no es Daniel Sempere el protagonista de este libro, ¿entonces quién? Pues nada más y nada menos que un escritor llamado David Martin. Sí, otra vez podemos encontrar en estas páginas la temática de escritores malditos, libros inusuales, amores condenados, tragedias inesperadas y un sinfín de cosas más en esta Barcelona gris que nos retrata Ruiz Zafón, un toque de realismo con fantasía que hace de este libro algo (a mi parecer) muy atractivo.</p>

>If not Daniel Sempere the protagonist of this book, then who? Well, none other than a writer named David Martin. Yes, again we can find in these pages the theme of cursed writers, unusual books, doomed loves, unexpected tragedies and a host of other things in this gray Barcelona portrayed by Ruiz Zafón, a touch of realism with fantasy that makes this book something (in my opinion) very attractive.

<p>David Martín, a través de un buen amigo llamado Vidal, consigue un trabajo como redactor en un periódico. Este personaje es de bajos recursos, por lo cual mantenerse se le hace muy complicado, sobre todo si el dinero que gana proviene de su pluma. No es que le falte talento, al contrario, es un escritor diferente y hasta envidiado, lo que le faltan son oportunidades, por lo cual no es de extrañar que lo exploten en su trabajo y que día y noche deje el sudor en las páginas que escribe.

>David Martín, through a good friend named Vidal, gets a job as a newspaper editor. This character is of low income, which makes it very difficult for him to support himself, especially if the money he earns comes from his pen. It is not that he lacks talent, on the contrary, he is a different and even envied writer, what he lacks are opportunities, so it is not surprising that he is exploited in his work and that day and night he leaves his sweat in the pages he writes.

<p>La oportunidad llega hasta él en forma de un editor llamado Andreas Corelli que le hace una propuesta un tanto extraña: escribir un libro. No obstante, no es un encargo para nada común. El libro que tiene que escribir es religioso y no solo eso, Andreas afirma que cambiará la religión como se conoce. Lo que sí es seguro es que termina cambiando la vida de David Martín y de todos los que lo rodean. ¿Valdrá la pena terminar este encargo por la pequeña fortuna propuesta?

<p>Este es un libro un tanto difícil de entender para algunas personas, creo que es porque está narrado digamos que de un modo «ambiguo». Sin embargo, a mí realmente me gustó. De la tetralogía creo que es uno de mis favoritos, si acaso no el favorito, quizá influya mucho en mi decisión el hecho de que me enamoré de David Martín y otros personajes.
</p>

>This is a somewhat difficult book for some people to understand, I think it is because it is narrated let's say in an "ambiguous" way. However, I really liked it. Of the tetralogy I think it's one of my favorites, if not my favorite, maybe the fact that I fell in love with David Martin and other characters is a big influence in my decision.

David Martin tuvo una infancia complicada y en cierto modo esto va a perjudicar su presente igual complicado y su futuro. Es una persona muy peculiar y creo que vale la pena intentar conocerlo y acompañarlo a través de sus decisiones y aventuras. Entrar en su vida es como acceder a un castillo oscuro donde se encienden las luces por momento y vuelve a quedar todo a oscuras, sin poder permanecer brillando por demasiado tiempo. Esto debiera desesperar un poco, pero a mí solo me causa fascinación.</p>

>David Martin had a complicated childhood and in a certain way this is going to prejudice his equally complicated present and his future. He is a very peculiar person and I think it is worth trying to get to know him and accompany him through his decisions and adventures. Entering his life is like entering a dark castle where the lights go on for a moment and everything goes dark again, without being able to remain shining for too long. This should make you despair a little, but it only fascinates me.

<p>De igual modo hay suspenso y mucho misterio en las páginas de este libro, lo sobrenatural y la fantasía, es normal empezar a preguntarse acerca de todas esas muertes que apuntan hasta David Martín y aterrarse por su destino.</p>

>Likewise there is suspense and a lot of mystery in the pages of this book, supernatural and fantasy, it is normal to begin to wonder about all those deaths that point to David Martin and be terrified by his fate.

<p>Sin duda alguna, a mí me encantó este libro. Lo he releído y lo volvería a leer, al igual que lo he hecho con los demás de esta saga porque me fascina el ambiente oscuro en donde está narrada esta historia y las temáticas de las que escribe Ruiz Zafón. I have reread it and I would read it again, as I have done with the others in this saga because I am fascinated by the dark atmosphere in which this story is narrated and the themes Ruiz Zafón writes about.
