Dearest hive community, today we are going to talk about the structure of the *SPK ecosystem*.
As I announced last time, this project aims at the total decentralization of video content resulting in the incensorship of video content.

Through this process there are rewards for both content creation and the provision of services such as archiving.

Let us delve well into this structure, which although very complex, lays the foundation for a real future of freedom on WEB 3.0.

## SIP (Service Infrastructure Pool) - The engine of the project.

Everything revolves around this "organism," in fact tokenomics management is devolved to its functions, let us now see in depth but simple how it works.

There are 5 tokens in the ecosystem:
- Hive
- Speak
- Speak Power
- Broca
- Larynx (miner token)

To obtain *Larynx tokens*, one must purchase them by sending *Hive* to the SIP, the SIP automatically exchanges a percentage of *Hive* tokens into *Speak* and *Broca*.
This creates two pairs of liquidity pools:
*SPEAK-HIVE*
*SPEAK-BROCA*

The tokens sent will remain permanently in the SIP treasury.

## Larynx tokens.

Each day a fixed quota of Miner Tokens (Larynx) are auctioned off in proportion to the Hive tokens that were sent to the SIP for original purchase.

Larynx token can be burned and obtain Speak and Broca tokens.
Burning is improper in that the token is not destroyed but sent to addresses from which withdrawal is prevented.

In practice, the *Larynx token* can be likened to a physical mining farm, so a decrease in production efficiency has been instituted in order to create a continuous demand for Larynx tokens, thereby encouraging further permanent staking in the SIP.

>In this way, tokenomics is self-sustaining.

In the diagram below we can see the decrease in Miner Token productivity.

## The Broca Token

This token is a *GAS token*, it is used to limit spam. It is used when a user uploads content to the network and is automatically regenerated every time a user performs a Speak token Power Up, basically originating by staking Speak tokens.

The Broca token is usable within the ecosystem and can be exchanged and transferred between accounts. Broca token transfers are free and take 3 seconds!
The Broca GAS functions *similar to Ethereum gas*: the more Broca tokens offered by the user, the higher its content uploading precedence and higher storage quality.

Since it is all very precise and strict, the cost for uploading is not an auction: the network once verified the size of the content to be uploaded, draws up an approximate cost taking into account the decrease in the amount of storage each year.
This means that there will be a base rate below which it is impossible to use the network.

As the network grows, the demand for Speak tokens will grow according to the demand for Broca tokens to cover the increase in network bandwidth used for uploading content

## The Speak token

This token is a network-limited governance token. The owner of the Speak token, will be able to influence the governance of the network with their vote only and only if the tokens have been placed in staking for at least 30 days.

This time is necessary to give the network time to be able to protect itself from Sybil or Pseudospoofing (multiple identities) attacks.

The *Speak token* is inflation-controlled, and will stop as soon as all supply tokens are minted. At that point, mining nodes will receive only *Broca tokens*.
The Speak token can also be used in the SIP to increase liquidity pools and receive rewards, but in this case the tokens can be redeemed because they do not enter the SIP treasury on a stable basis.

A commission percentage of each transaction is taken and automatically redistributed to each Speak token holder (in staking, of course) according to the tokens in the wallet. The remainder will be sent to a burn address to reduce the amount of tokens and manage inflation.

The *Speak token* has various facets, even there is the possibility of participating in a bond market through Speak Powers, and earning additional governance rights. For this I refer you to the [Light Paper Here](https://peakd.com/hive/@spknetwork/spk-network-light-paper).

Speak, as is the case with Hive, has two forms: liquid (Speak) and Enhanced (*Speak Power*). In the first case we can call it a liquid token in that it can be traded, sold, acquired and staked.

Staking is that function of DPoS that allows the validation of transactions; in this case, however, the rewards are not only Speak tokens, but also, as I explained just above also Broca tokens (Gas Token).

The staking procedure is called Power Up, as it is for Hive tokens, and it is the only procedure that allows the Speak token to become a governance token.
Of course, we can also remove tokens from staking, this procedure is called Power Down and lasts for 4 weeks, during which time a portion is unlocked every 7 days.
Clearly with this operation you lose some of the governance influence you had before.

## To recap:

Only with Hive tokens do you buy Larynx tokens,
Larynx tokens burned, originating Speak and Broca tokens.
Staking of Speak tokens creates Speak and Broca tokens. 

It becomes clear that staking Speak tokens is the most profitable maneuver by all means: it creates Speak and Broca tokens, and increases governance within the ecosystem!
