When Youtube realized that this way...they are unwittingly promoting decentralization...

The past few days I've been watching mostly from the sidelines all this fuss about Youtube banning crypto related videos. 

Apparently, the centralized giant has temporarily backed off, and their first official response was at least...hilarious.

This was the official response / apology to @crypt0 a guy who has been active or at least he is cross-posting his Youtube videos on Steem for the past 3+ years.

Obviously, Youtubers with the largest followings were the first to have their "warnings" removed. I don't really know if this is the case for every crypto content creator out there or if the "small" guys are still locked out of their channels.

Is there anyone who really buys this shit? ERROR? Mistake?

This is what I think has happened:

Their intention was to really ban all crypto related videos hence the vloggers as well. 

Cryptos have been sabotaged for years now. Google has banned crypto ads...FB anything crypto related...till they decided to launch their own coin...and most recently Youtube with massive strikes on hundreds of channels.

_I would buy it if there was only an isolated incident..._

They just didn't expect that it will go so BIG. You see hundreds of thousands of social media users, especially the ones that use Twitter stood by vloggers and their right for freedom of speech.

True freedom of speech can only be found in decentralized platforms such as @threespeak and @Dtube...

This was targeted. Period. And when they realized that this way they are unwittingly promoting decentralization they started revoking ban and warnings.

At least now, those who were unaware of their alternatives know. And I ain't talking about the content creators, because they DO know, but the average Twitter user...FB user...who might have digged a little deeper to see what this @threespeak or @Dtube or #steem thing really is...

Good to know that your content isn't affected and that everything regarding your Youtube channel in back up and running @crypt0...

It just this bitter taste of your pinned message on Twitter...

I'd really love to see you promoting STEEM instead of LBRY...in case anything goes wrong...

The very fact that Youtube took down videos about crypto does say a lot about where these winds are blowing, I think we will see a lot more of these actions going forward, but the harder they squeeze the more people will go to the decentralized alternatives, thanks for sharing and stay awesome.

I believe that lots went to LBRY as they can automatically upload and sync all there YouTube videos with a click of the button. Regardless, they all now know centralized platforms are a risk 😀
