I have been asking myself this question for days since I read the proposal for this week in the invitation [Thoughtful Thursday Prompt #43]( https://peakd.com/hive-109288/@thoughtfulposts/thoughtful-thursday-prompt-43), and prior to answering... or perhaps rambling about it, I want to share with you the question posed:

Maybe the first answer would be: because my parents told me to be here 😄 hahahahahaha... and although it contains a whole truth, I think it is not as simple as that, but it is an important starting point because I am here as a result of the conjunction of life and love, and a product of that “continuum” that is existence. 

Before I continue with my answer, I would like to make an aside because when I made the translation of the question I had a doubt as to whether it was oriented to the “Why” or “What for? both deep and interesting questions whose approach may have common points, however, I consider that the first would have to do more with the origin or those reasons that underlie our presence in the world, and the second, would lean more towards the purpose or north of our lives; perhaps I am philosophizing more than necessary, but in this dilemma I think that my answer will collect a little of both perspectives.

Reflecting on why I am here leads me to consider the multiple layers that have woven my existence and all those causalities that brought me here. In an “existentialist” sense I consider that I am here as part of that vast and mysterious enigma that is life, or as they say, part of that “stardust” that spread millions of years ago and formed life as we know it, the result of that marvelous and intricate dance of life whose cosmic phenomena we still do not know despite a whole history of searching.

Now, from a more personal perspective, I could say that I am here as a result of that family history and the ties that were woven between my parents and with whom I am linked today in a relationship of care, love and infinite gratitude. This primordial connection has sown in me the importance of care, responsibility and the value of bonds; and thanks to this opportunity of life that they gave me, I was able to procreate my children, who are that little engine that drives me every day to move forward, to strive hard to provide them with a path of experiences and learning that will lead them to be good men.
 
I have always had an innate inclination to seek balance, equity and the defense of what I consider fair and right, this led me to become a lawyer and in part, has marked a trend of “protection” and “care” for those I feel most vulnerable, in this sense, My for what is reflected in this constant struggle to assert both my rights and those of others, and I must confess that it has been a cornerstone of my learning because it “pisses me off” and makes me angry about unfair situations, although it does not affect me as much as it used to. 

Precisely that discomfort that caused me to see things “unfair” or “wrong” led me to seek other paths because I felt no peace when I did not resonate with the world I saw full of so much imbalance, so I walked the path of holistic therapies, I trained in different disciplines such as Reiki, Radiestesia, A Course in Miracles, Metaphysics, Meditation, Mindfulness, Coaching, NLP, Tai Chi and more recently, Biodanza teacher, looking for that inner balance that would take me away from the discomfort I had and also, greater understanding of human nature. 

My own healing on that journey, my desire to share with others what I experienced in all those disciplines, and after having been on the edge of death on a couple of occasions, are powerful reasons for my presence here and at the same time one of those answers as to why, as all this intertwined leads me to believe that I am here to serve as a means of healing and growth for those who resonate with my proposal of integration of mind, body, energy and spirit.

> Mi propia sanación en ese viaje, mi deseo de compartir con otros lo que experimenté en todas esas disciplinas, y tras haber estado al filo de la muerte en un par de ocasiones, son razones poderosas de mi presencia aquí y a la vez una de esas respuestas de para qué, ya que todo esto entrelazado me lleva a creer que estoy aquí para servir como un medio de sanación y crecimiento para aquellos que resuenen con mi propuesta de integración de la mente, el cuerpo, la energía y el espíritu. <br/>

So, in essence, I believe I am here as a confluence of all these experiences and values. I am here because of the family love that sustains me, because of the responsibility and concern I feel I have in this awakening of consciousness, because of the deep conviction I have in my sense of justice and the belief that it is possible to achieve a state of equity; as well as that constant call to explore the human potential for healing and growth, each of these aspects, give meaning to my presence here and now and summarize in large part that why and what for. 

I am here to learn, to love, to enjoy, to defend, to create, to contribute value to my environment and above all... to leave a positive footprint -even if it is small- in my relationships and in every daily action in the different contexts in which I develop.
