364k $RUNE to be returned to Thorchain Liquidity Providers and Node operators

I’m not sure about you guys, but from where I stand it does seem like we are very much in the season of abundance, from Hive point of view and across other bags I hold. Just scrolling through my timeline on Twitter today I got to discover a news that pertains to all thorchads.  

Thorchain is backpaying all Thorchain nodes operators and liquidity providers for missed block rewards during the halt. As most of us know, the hacks were followed by a nearly 3 months chain halt, meaning funds were just sitting idle inside the chain, and sincerely 3months in crypto can be like a full year in real life. 

Anyway, it was a pain most of the LP’s and node operators were willing to carry, only for Thorchain to reveal that all the block rewards for that time will be paid back into the reward pool so everyone who has been in the chain without withdrawing liquidity will share in the pool and receive more Rune into their LP positions,  through the screenshot circulated from discussions within the Thorchain dev team discord channel.

It doesn’t get more amazing than this. Like you, I have a lot of questions too, like what block rewards since the chain was halted? And a bunch of other -how this- and -when thats-. But I’m not even bothered to be frank, perhaps there will be more information when it happens.

Thorchain has been gradually coming back online starting with Binance chain, followed by LTC and BTC, It was also revealed that ETH chain is about to start early in the week and Thorchain will begin full operation again, *sigh of relief*, I’m so happy about this. 

The battle for decentralization and self sovereignty lives to see another day. Binance, Kraken are all bending their knees to regulators, the crack down on Chinese exchanges is real and messed up, Thorchain is the answer to many worries. Thorchain bends to no rules....Thorchain plays a huge role in the future crypto.

You can't help but respect the THORChain team, can you :) 

They certainly didn't have to do this, but are now building a ton of goodwill within the crypto community for it.

Personally, I'm a huge fan of [THORChain (RUNE)](https://leofinance.io/@crypto-guides/what-is-thorchain-rune).

I laugh at the whole Bitcoin maxi movement as in my opinion, cross-chain interoperability is going to be key to the entire space.

THORChain has certainly had its fair share of speedbumps, but keeps on driving through.

I'm looking forward to seeing where the project ends up.

I know right! I certainly wasn’t expecting it, to be honest I’m loving the project even more...

So am I, a win for Thorchain is a win for all of us in crypto. I’m certainly glued to watching this one

Wow, that's really great news, but if that's at their 'holding rate's of around 3% I think it was, it won't be too much, but still much better than nothing. 

Fingers crossed if there are no more hacks, all of this will stand RUNE in very good stead. 

I've just kept mine in there for the duration too.
