# About that edicted’s post

See I don’t know about you guys, I’m laughing right now typing this post, because, firstly, stuff like this will always happen, and I love to see it, secondly, this drama with 19%, 20% APR on HBD savings is just another confirmation of one of my posts in the past, let me take you guys back a bit.

[Once upon a time, in one of those Hive Town Hall meetings.](https://hive.blog/hive-167922/@mistakili/to-fork-or-not-to-fork-thoughts-about-the-last-hive-town-hall-meeting). A witness suggested to remove the Hive reward pool, read about it here, in short there was a lot of back and forth about why it was a horrible idea and it got immediately canceled by the “community”…

But im like NO, instead of cancelling, let’s explore it but on another chain, together, as a community, but, most were like meh. So we moved on.

End of story, [so edicted wrote an interesting post recently about HBD savings APR and it was really interesting,](https://hive.blog/hive-167922/@edicted/selling-the-bottom-lets-lower-hbd-yield) long and short of the story was that there’s no reason to lower the Apr offering especially now at the time when the bull run is meant to kick off which will be very beneficial to the ecosystem.

# I’ll keep quiet

Its actually to my surprise that there are people who think lowering the hbd savings Apr below 20% at this pivotal juncture is good for the ecosystem long term, i really want to hear it out, or better still, see it play out, again, as a fork but as a community, but you people will say meh again so I will keep quiet.

But let’s say that happens, it will have a DHF like we have on here, this DHF can be used to incentivize vetted witnesses with the tech already running Hive and to pay for other developments that are critically required, remember as a community. I don’t know if it’s just me but I just don’t see a why this shouldn’t work.

Someone will say, must we always fork every time there’s an issue? No, but that’s because my opinion doesn’t matter to the person or group of people who believe there’s a reason why something should work.

![B129CFF4-6004-428C-80F2-E661CDFBBBB7.webp](https://images.hive.blog/DQmZyjovsDXvwjKi4QWXdxKNL6LLeg3quf9uaYGdQ2gXsEz/B129CFF4-6004-428C-80F2-E661CDFBBBB7.webp)

# Not yet radical. Soon

You’d be surprised that we are too lenient in our generation, may I remind you that the major limiting factor why we don’t have numerous forks is due to lack of technical know how.

It won’t always be so, especially in the age of Ai we are going into. That’s why I’m certain that the next generation will be more radical than us, I won’t be surprised that there will be a Hive in the future whose chain doesn’t have the reward pool, every Hive user, business and company is entitled to make their own economic decisions, all just to see where it leads us.

This vision of a more radical future, where forks could become common as technical barriers lower and AI advances, opens up a realm of possibilities.

# Based on feelz bro

Imagine a scenario where each iteration of Hive or any blockchain, for that matter, is tailored to the specific needs and ideologies of its community. This could fundamentally change the way we think about governance and economic models in the digital age.

The idea isn't just about forking for the sake of disagreement but rather about exploring the full spectrum of what decentralized technology can offer. It's about recognizing that there isn't a one-size-fits-all solution to the complex issues of online communities and economies.

In this context, forks become not just a means of conflict resolution but a tool for exploration and innovation.

How will these myriad versions of Hive interact? Will they complement each other, creating a richer ecosystem, or will they fragment the community? And what does this mean for the average user, who may find themselves navigating a more complex but potentially more empowering digital landscape?

# Eventually

In the end, the debate over the HBD savings APR and the potential for forks is a microcosm of a much larger conversation about the future of blockchain technology and decentralized communities.

As we move forward, the choices we make today will lay the foundation for the kind of digital world we want to live in tomorrow. It's a thrilling time to be part of this evolving space, and I, for one, am eager to see where this journey takes us.

Kindly share your thoughts

Thanks for reading.

The perfect rate for HBD is a hot topic in Hive. I think the stablecoin need will be less than now in the bull run.

When Hive begins to pump, many people will want to buy hive with their hbd.

@takhar ·
I like the possibilities of forks to explore the scope of decentralization, trying different ideas and blueprints. I think it could be a faster way to realize what works and what doesn't.

I love these pictures you did with ai. How were you able to do that and which AI did you use? I tried some but it was not giving what I wanted

Thanks bro, I use ChatGPT, I copy my entire post when I’m done writing just before I post then I paste it into ChatGPT and tell it to give me prompts that visually represents the idea in the post and boom,…then I use the prompts to tell ChatGPT image generator to give me the image and boom, I get variety. ChatGPT uses Dalle-e which I used to use before and did okay too, ChatGPT just brings it to one place where I also edit my post if I need to.
