Let me tell you a story about my past. Maybe I was 10 years old back then when I happened to experience a paranormal incident. Some of the following was a true story that I witnessed with my own eyes. Although it's hard to believe when you don't see it. But I'm telling you don't wish for it. You would feel like wanted to run but can't run. Your fear will be devouring your body that you can not move. It happened long ago but still vivid in my memory. I happened to remember it because of what I experienced here in the school where I'm on quarantine.

Our Brgy. (small village) is located in the rural part of the province. In the year 2000 electricity didn't reach our province yet. There were no TVs, cell phones, etc. and of course bulb to make a light. You can assume that our place in the evening will be in complete darkness. But we had faucets everywhere because it will just let the water flow from the mountain through a tube and goes down into our Brgy. Lacking electricity those days made us worked hard. That's why 2 km from the Brgy. there were faucets distances to each other. 

It was just scary because before we could reach the faucet. We passed the big trees and tall grasses on the road. Added by some people's heresies about seeing a giant black guy smoking near the faucet. A tiny person with long ears was playing around the faucet. It was so scary to go on that faucet but if we had no water left. I had no choice but to fetch there with my brother.


Mother was so mad because I and my brother played the whole day outside. When she wanted to cook rice there was no water in every gallon. Before we will hit by a piece of wood in our legs. We decided to fetch water with my brother. We ran because the sun was setting already. We didn't want to keep on fetching water in the evening. We were busy looking around because it's getting darker. My brother was on watch and I was in charge of fetching. Even so, I felt uncomfortable because in my mind someone was watching us. Plus, the wind was so cold and created noise. I don't know if there was someone but all I knew that time that my body was shaking of fear. 

"Let's go, Mark," I said to my brother as he brought one gallon as well. We ran so fast that we didn't look behind us.

I thought I saw a house so bright when we first entered the road. That time I was thinking that it's just my imagination. I was so afraid that my imagination kept on creating images. I just forgot it and continued running to go home.

Early in the morning, the wind was so freezing. It was 5 in the morning, not too dark but it's getting bright. I wasn't afraid because it's morning already. From what I knew that those types of being only show during the evening. I fetched water early in the morning because classes started. I would take a bath first then will bring the water home. I was alone because my brother was still sleeping and I was fine with it.

When I saw that no one still fetching water. I smiled because I was happy thinking that I could fetch water and goes home right away. I was running because maybe some people would come and replace me being the first. I started taking a bath as I used a dipper to shower my body. I was enjoying the cold water that I didn't have the time to look around. I took a bath fast and I brought one gallon of water with me.

 Suddenly a wind blew that I felt much colder. A branch of a tree fell from the tree that I accidentally looked above. Upon looking above, I couldn't believe what I saw. My eyes stared fiercely as I was thinking to move but my body wouldn't. I was catching my breath because I felt like I couldn't because of fear. I slowly looked away from what I saw. As a young child, I knew nothing that time but frightened. I didn't know what had happened but my body started moving. When it happened I ran so fast the I left everything that I brought. Even my sleepers were left because I wanted to run as fast and can go home.

"What happened to you?" My mother asked me when I cried and panting in going home.

I was showered with sweat and my mind was blank at that time. My mother kept on asking me but words wouldn't come out. I kept on thinking what I saw as I felt like my fear was drowning me.

"What happened to you?!" My mother was so mad because she's worried about me. She's afraid of what's happening to me. She slapped me in my arms to take me back into my senses. I felt the pain and I cried to my mother. (What a coward I was before.)

"Mo---o-o-m---- I-I saw a lady hanged herself in the tree. Her eyes were glaring at me. Her tongue turned to be so long as the rope tied her neck. I was so scared of her eyes and her long hair." I told my mother everything and even she couldn't believe it. She was rubbing my back to help me breathe well.

After that, my mother told me a story about that woman. Her name was Melissa. She used to fetch water long ago. She normally fetched water in the morning because no one was still around. She didn't realise that someone was watching her every morning. When the suspect had the chance. He raped Melissa according to the Police but hanged her in the tree. The suspect thought that no one would find out about the crime he did. It was quite a time has passed and my mother thought that Melissa wouldn't show up. Only to found out that during the morning she showed herself. 


Since then, I stopped going to the faucet early in the morning and during the evening. We never know that she might show up in the evening as well.
