Does this perception also vary with the social class?","appBody":"
There was a time a couple of years ago that my wife and I were at one of my nephews birthday parties. We were sitting around looking at all of the toys they already had and then we started looking at all of the new toys they had just gotten. In addition to that, we were paying attention to how rough they were being with the toys and it kind of just occurred to us both at the same time... \"This is nuts\".
\n
From that point on we absolutely decided that if possible, we would rather gift the kids in our life experiences as opposed to things. Since then we have taken them to countless shows and concerts. In the grand scheme of things I think the memories and experiences from these events will last a lot longer than the toy that they will probably forget about the next week or the clothes that they will outgrow in a month.
\n
That isn't to say that we don't still buy them clothes. I mean kids need to be wearing clothes right?
\n
For us, it is much more rewarding to be able to spend that time with them and those experiences with them. The look on their face or the sound of them singing along with the songs is really comparable.
\n
I think this perception probably does vary with the social class. I can very much see how kids whose parents might not be as fortunate or have enough tend to value the material things that they are given much more. You are probably going to find that with many things though. There is always that desire to not be content and to always want bigger and better.
\n
Even as they grow on to adulthood. Being humble and appreciative when they are younger could mitigate that effect.
\n
For my wife and I though, we feel that the experiences are the better choice and for us (and the kids we think) they bring far more happiness. What could be better than spending time together before our time here is up?
","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"pk3xaag8w","appParentAuthor":"divine-sound","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer"}" |

json_metadata | "{"app":"musing/1.1","appTags":["life","social","blog"],"appCategory":"life","appTitle":"Which type of spending or purchases bring more happiness- experiential purchases or material purchases? Does this perception also vary with the social class?","appBody":"
First of all, the perception of happiness out of a particular purchase type does not same with all social class and it does vary from person to person and also from one social class to another. It could also be a compulsion for the economically weaker section of the society.
\n
The individuals who are relatively higher in social class & who are affluent have generally higher purchase power and they may feel greater happiness from purchasing experiences, such as going to a concert or the movies, compared with purchasing material goods, such as a pair of shoes or accessories. On the other hand, lower class individuals may not have the same purchasing pattern and they may even find more happiness when they make material purchases rather than experiential purchases.
\n
Therefore purchasing is something lies with the purchasing power but when it comes to the type of purchasing then the happiness may not be universal for all social class and it may vary from one social class to the other. Some may have more pleasure in buying experiential purchases while others may get more pleasure in buying tangible objects.
\n
However, consumer decision and its pattern vary between higher-class and lower-class consumers. Thus it can be anticipated that the degree of happiness obtained from different types of purchases would also vary by social class.
\n
Individuals of higher social class have an abundance of resources, which means they can afford to focus more on internal growth and self-development. Because experiential purchases are more closely related to the self than material ones, so higher class individuals tend to derive more happiness from an experiential purchase.
\n
Similarly, people who have fewer resources, are likely to be more concerned with resource management and making wise purchases. For lower-class consumers, spending money on concert tickets or a weekend trip might not result in greater happiness than buying a new pair of shoes or a flatscreen TV, or a Refrigerator, etc. In fact, lower class consumers are happiest from purchasing things, which makes sense given that material goods have practical benefit, resale value, and are physically longer lasting. However, in some of the cases, the reason behind such a purchasing pattern could be a priority they have set it in their life. But it is equally true that the purchasing pattern does have a social resemblance to their class. That is not bad rather it constitutes a part of social engineering.
\n
The pattern of purchases and the measurement of social class can be made on the basis of education, income, the person's subjective judgments, etc. But the relationship and the pattern of consumerism and social class is not an overnight phenomenon and in order to establish a pattern, it may require to engineer the data over a period of time to assess a pattern.
\n
The bottom line is that, when it comes to increasing one's happiness through discretionary spending, there is no single right answer of what to buy(whether material purchases or experiential purchases). People's available resources will be the predominant factor and when it will be judged after surpassing the ability of an individual beyond the economic capability, then the pattern could unfold into other dimensions like social class, subjective attitude to buying, priorities, etc. These are important factors when deciding whether to purchase experiences or material goods to be happier.
","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"pk3xaag8w","appParentAuthor":"divine-sound","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer"}" |

People experiencing psychosis very often face issues related to concentration and they usually lack in concentration skills. The B-group vitamins like B12, B6 etc help a lot for the people of such category in improving their concentration as the regular intake of B-group vitamins decreases homocysteine.
\n
Further, the initial stage of psychosis can be a precursor to developing schizophrenia but psychotic symptoms may also be associated with severe depression. In a person with psychosis, the homocysteine level is up and the cognitive function like memory, attention, learning abilities get affected.
\n
In addition to reducing the homocysteine levels by regular intake of B-group vitamins, it also have a neuroprotective effect and this effect help to protect the cognitive function of a human being. So in that way also the regular intake of B-group vitamins help. The interesting thing about psychosis is that, the person who have abnormally high homocysteine levels at baseline are most responsive to the B-vitamin supplements, in terms of improvement in attention. So definitely it is an indication that B-group vitamins help a lot to such people in improving their concentration skills.
","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"pkmq5b68w","appParentAuthor":"divine-sound","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer"}" |

The idea behind 2FA is that an attacker might have your password, but they wonβt have your security key, authenticator app, or SMS code and hence unless it breaks the second layer it can not have the access to your account.
\n
For years, the most common way to use 2FA was to have one-time codes sent to your phone via text message. You probably still have to use this with your bank, as financial institutions tend to adopt new technologies more slowly. But the new technologies have evolved into 2FA apps and even hardware devices now a days as security has become the most important criteria be it a social account or a digital wallet. The 2FA app such as Google Authenticator app generates six-digit passcodes every 30 seconds. The user have to just open the app, copy the code, and then they can be into their account. These apps are especially handy as a backup 2FA option, because the app works even without cellular service or Wi-Fi.
\n
But maintaining security tools is also a hectic task and at times it creates a lot of anxiety. So it could lead to a risky complications if you lose your security keys. There could be cases like locked out of 2FA accounts, losing the device or the devices getting corrupt, etc.
\n
If you have not written down the security key in a safe place, preferably in a paper, then you might have to rout through a long of process of exchanging emails with the customer service and proving that you are genuine owner of your account and so many other things. But it definitely takes a lot of time and also brings anxiety. Depending on how a company configures its 2FA offering, you might find yourself having to bend over backward to get control of your account back.
\n
Following are the ways to get rid locking out of 2FA:-
\n
(1) If you are using Google authenticator app and installed that in your Smart devices, then better to write the security keys in a paper or save it properly. Also if possible try to install the same app with same security key in two devices. The probability is that, not both the device get corrupt simultaneously or be lost. So even if one gets corrupt or lost, you can still get hold of the other and can easily use your 2FA.
\n
(2) There is another way like adding multifactor devices but adding more multifactor devices does increase the risk that your account could be compromised. Because, there are two ways to get into your account instead of just one. In such a circumstance, the best endorsement of using more than one 2FA device comes from Google, which provides two keys in its Titan Key bundle. These were created specifically to work with Googleβs Advanced Protection system, which requires you to enroll two separate security keys. You use one every day, and you put the other away for emergencies.
\n
Also keep in mind that not all sites support every kind of authenticator. Figuring out which authenticators to use is often a function of which options are supported. So depending upon the type of account you are accessing the type of 2FA is decided by the sites. But securing the 2FA is always in your hand and you must take adequate precautions while handling your 2FA.
","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"p3f934rdq","appParentAuthor":"iambrave","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer"}" |

And when we have begun to age, then regret in us grows, because we don't want to do something when we are still able to do it when we were young. But despite regret, we must accept it because everything in this life can bring its own lessons to each individual because there are things that he regrets because he can't return when he is still able to do things that really don't make him regret.

Most, people like to experience late regret in their lives. Not because I did not know, but because I knew too much and jerked him so I just missed it. When you are far ahead, usually these people will regret it for wasting a lot of time and making him very sorry for the future. The following are things that will make us regret in the future, if we don't do it during this time :

1. Don't work for money, but work for passion. Most people start their work for money, money, money and money. In the end, you will be stuck with inanimate objects without being able to feel the happiness of the work you are doing. Remember, you are not a machine or a robot, you are a human who has feelings.

2. Time is a great healer and a great killer. You will suffer greatly if you just spend it. Don't waste just a little of your time without making it mean. Indeed, time can heal wounds in a person, but time can also kill that person if that time is wasted just like that. Mosquitoes are only a part of the challenge in our life and our life and health are exposed to multiple challenges due to extensive exploitation of natural resources which is ultimately adding to the problems of climate change.
\n
Mosquitoes are one of the deadliest animals in the world, carrying diseases that cause millions of deaths every year. Aedes can carry the dengue, chikunguyna and Zika viruses, as well as at least a dozen other emerging diseases. That is absolutely true that mosquito is a serious threat to health. With the climate change, global average temperature may rise and over the next 50/60 years, we may see some regions like West Africa & Southeast Asia become hotter than the other parts of the world as these regions are already too hot as of now. With that being said, we could see a significant reduction of mosquitos like Aedes who can not survive in a hot climate.
\n
But is mosquito the only major threat to our health? Are we not going through many more challenges in the context of climate change? Therefore, any scenario where a region gets too warm to transmit dengue is the one where we also have different but equally severe threats in other health sectors.
\n
Further we are a global world and the population has already been exploding which is an alarming situation and if the same increase of population will be projected and estimated for the next 50 years and considering the scenario of modern lifestyle, it is apparent to say that the challenges will be even more ugly than what we can think of. We must not forget that humans are very good at moving both bugs and their pathogens around the globe. With global warming, the scientists say, almost all of the world's population could be exposed at some point of time. So just imagine the challenge is not just mosquito. Also, not all types of mosquito will disappear in a hotter climate, some of the types will still survive.
\n
There will be global expansion and redistribution of Aedes-borne virus transmission risk with climate change. While some of the regions will become too hot, some will become moderately hot(which is now cold) and that is why there will be a redistribution of mosquitos too. The two most common disease-carrying mosquitoes such as Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus, can track and move as the temperature changes over the decades. So the global threat of mosquitos still remains.
\n
Therefore climate change is still the largest and most comprehensive threat to global health security and this will further worsen the things as we move forward and unless adequate measures are taken, it will continue to be a threat to human life. A greater intensity of infections is also predicted with climate change. The time has come to lead a green life, leave less footprint in your daily routine, spread awareness and also proper measures should be taken by the global leaders in a serious and proactive manner.
","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"pk62dsg8q","appParentAuthor":"littymumma","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer"}" |

When that kind of feelings are promoted by the environment, what I try to ignore them, filling me with energy and hope. But when those feelings come from within, then I can't ignore them. I must look for the root of that state, see the reason for that feeling and work them out so that I can rip them out from the deepest. It is not bad that at some point we feel unmotivated and without strength for some particular circumstance, the detail is when those negative feelings begin to be more constant and permanent. That is when we must see ourselves inside and if possible, give ourselves strength, come out afloat, recognize and reaffirm all the positive things we have.
","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"f3q8qgrdw","appParentAuthor":"praditya","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer"}" |

Many times. In these days I saw how the news about the death of an artist ran through the net and everyone immediately started to mourn the death and write notes of mourning and pain. Instantly, the representatives of this artist denied such information. In previous times, any news said on television or by any means of information was considered real and there was no doubt as to its veracity. Not now, however. Any news transmitted, by any means, can be false and invented. What I do not explain either is the absurd way that people have to respond immediately to this type of news. It is as if being the first to comment or give an opinion means an action of life or death.
","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"pksjdm6dw","appParentAuthor":"sapwood","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer"}" |

He was raised by his father Ned Stark (which is in reality was his uncle) to be true to his words and to be humble always. He doesnβt want possessions or titles or glorification, he wants his people to be better and safe. He is forced to accept as a Lord Commander of the Nightβs Watch, he is then selected and crowned as the King in the North and it is because people trust in him and respect him. He accepted those titles even if it is against his will, because it is his duty to protect his people more than himself. He is honest and doesnβt hide bad emotions and feelings. I donβt know if he chooses to accept his inheritance as the true heir of the Seven Kingdoms, but if it is the case restoration of the kingdoms after the bloody war, I think Jon would be force again to accept the title not just for himself but for his people. He is a man that choses other first before himself, heβs shown it many times already and has never change. Kudos to Ned Stark for raising Jon the way he is now.
","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"pk2fwcu8q","appParentAuthor":"yadnus","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer"}" |
