I do not come here to talk about religion, nor to preach or impose a way of thinking, I just want to express what I feel about what is sacred to me. I bring a song that speaks of that which is superior to me, that which goes beyond what I am. 

We all have something sacred in our lives, we all have something to which we consider superior and in which we take refuge. If you are an atheist, perhaps what is superior and sacred to you are the forces of universal nature, the mystery of infinite space. If you do not believe in science or spirituality, maybe what you worship is your life and your family, that is where the transcendental is for you. And if you are an immpersonalist and see spirituality through practices such as yoga or meditation, then the sacred and the higher will be your practice in those aspects. 

The human being must believe in something, even Einstein himself once said so. Believing gives us strength, gives us security, gives us hope. Believing gives us a colorful perception of the world, it makes us see the beauty and the positive side of things in life, which is always present.

No vengo aquí a hablar de religión, ni a predicar o imponer una forma de pensar, solo quisiera expresar aquello que siento hacia lo que es sagrado para mí. Traigo una canción que habla de aquello que es superior para mí, aquello que va más allá de lo que soy. 

Todos tenemos algo sagrado en nuestras vidas, todos tenemos algo a lo cual consideramos superior y en lo cual nos refugiamos. Si eres ateo, tal vez lo superior y sagrado para ti sean las fuerzas de la naturaleza universal, el misterio del espacio infinito. Si no crees en ciencias o espiritualidad, tal vez lo que adoras sea a tu vida y a tu familia, es ahí donde está lo trascendental para ti. Y si eres una persona inmpersonalista y ves la espiritualidad a través de prácticas como el yoga o la meditación, pues, entonces lo sagrado y lo superior será tu práctica en esos aspectos. 

El ser humano debe creer en algo, hasta el mismo Einstein lo dijo en una ocasión. El creer nos da fuerza, nos da seguridad, nos da esperanza. Creer nos da una percepción del mundo llena de colores, nos hace ver la belleza y el lado positivo de las cosas en la vida, lo cual siempre está presente.

Supreme personality is a song I wrote to that which is adored by my heart. There are many things I adore, but in the end they are all one. To be able to see what you love within all that is around you, to be able to see that which is sacred in every person and every event is the path that leads you to love. One must even learn to see what is sacred in what one is, in order to learn to love oneself. I confess that loving myself is something that has cost me, maybe I don't even know how to do it, my self-esteem is not the best, but there are days when I wake up, I look at myself in the mirror and I say to myself: "Hey, courage, you could not have been born in a better way". That's how it is, we can change things, but we are what we are and we have to be grateful for that.

Suprema personalidad es una canción que le escribí a aquello que es adorado por mi corazón. Hay muchas cosas a las cuales adoro, pero todas al final son una. Poder ver a lo que amas dentro de todo lo que está a tu alrededor, poder ver a aquello que es sagrado en cada persona y cada suceso es el camino que te lleva al amor. Incluso, hay que aprender a ver lo sagrado en lo que uno es, para así aprender a amarse. Confieso que el amarme a mí mismo es algo que me ha costado, tal vez no se ni cómo hacerlo, mi autoestima no es la mejor, pero hay días en los que me despierto, me miro al espejo y me digo: "Hey! Ánimo, tu no pudiste haber nacido de mejor forma". Es así, podemos cambiar cosas, pero somos lo que somos y eso hay que agradecerlo.

Talking a little more about the song, I wrote it to Krishna, who according to Vedic philosophy, is considered the supreme personality of God. He is so called because, according to this same philosophy, it speaks that the god Visnu manifests through different avatars to bring peace and harmony, and among those manifestations, Krishna is the main and the highest, the Supreme. 

It is said that in the beginning all the living entities were in the spiritual plane together with Krishna, but that, due to a decision of their own, the souls decided to descend to the material world and move away from Krishna. When the souls come down to the material world, they start accumulating karma, they go through different animal kingdoms through the cycle of death and birth. By nature, there comes a time when the soul gets tired of so much suffering and ends up wishing to return to Krishna. Basically, the song I bring today talks about that. Anyway, if you speak English, I took the liberty of putting subtitles to the song so you can understand it better.

Hablando un poco más de la canción, esta se la escribí a Krishna, el cual según la filosofía Védica, es considerado como la suprema personalidad de Dios. Se le dice así porque, según esta misma filosofía, habla que el dios Visnu se manifiesta a través de distintos avatares para traer paz y armonía, y entre esas manifestaciones, Krishna es la principal y la más elevada, el Supremo. 

Se dice que un principio todas las entidades vivientes estaban en el plano espiritual junto a Krishna, pero qué, debido a una decisión propia, las almas decidieron bajar al mundo material y alejarse de Krishna. Cuando las almas bajan al mundo material, estas empiezan a acumular karma, pasan por distintos reinos animales a través del ciclo de muerte y nacimiento. Por naturaleza, llega un momento que el alma se cansa de tanto sufrimiento y termina deseando volver con Krishna. Básicamente, la canción que hoy traigo habla de eso. De todos, si hablas inglés, me tomé la atribución de ponerle subtítulos a la canción para que la entiendas mejor.

Definitivamente concuerdo, todos necesitamos creer en algo, en algo supremo mas allá de religiones y doctrinas, es necesario sentirnos conectados con la grandeza del universo, sentirnos parte de algo mayor.
