# <center>INTRO</center>

The season 1 of the Loki Series was released in 2021 and has received a lot of positive reviews, 92% from Rotten Tomatoes and 8.3/10 from IMDB. Personally I'm really in love with this series, the story, the acting, setting, etc. Most of the stuff about it are to my approval/liking and words can't express how much I love Tom Hiddleston. However there is a grave flaw in the plot that ruins everything for the part of me that loves and deals with logic and rationality. 

Many people watch a movie and don't really care about things making sense in a story/plot, for example, one time I was talking about the BBC TV Series Merlin with somebody, I was saying there was so much irrationality going on in there and I used one episode to give an example of the irrationality. In that episode a witch wanted to kill the King and his son, the witch could teleport and all but instead of teleporting to their backs and stabbing them she rather teleported to the back of a singer, stabbed her, changed her form to look exactly like the singer and went to the palace to sing.

In the palace she sang a song that made everyone including the king and prince to fall asleep. When they all fell asleep she now brought out her knife to stab them. What rubbish? The person laughed and told me I was thinking too much, that I should just enjoy the movie. This is why I have to make it clear that it was the part of me that likes logic and rationality that was offended by the Loki flaws I'm about to mention. I want to say a lot of unkind things about people with lower IQs now, but I'll hold it back, let love lead.

# THE FLAW PROPER

So, in Loki, luckily for me this grave flaw didn't come up until the ginal episode. What that means is that I was free to enjoy the whole season happily until the final episode, this flaw could ruin things but the enjoyment I already got from the preceding episodes could not really be taken away from me. Ha?

In the final episode we came to meet this character Kang the Conqueror portrayed by Jonathan Majors:

He was a scientist who had succeeded in uniting the world under one timeline and created the Time Variance Authority (TVA) to make sure the one timeline is not deviated from. According to the story, there was insurmountable chaos due to the existence of so many different timelines, that was why this character had to fight to unite and create the agency to ensure continuance.

Now, Loki and a few others hated the TVA and wanted to get to the man behind it, they fought hard and at the end it was Kang the conqueror. Kang was clearly a well meaning conqueror who only wanted peace and enforced the one timeline because that was the only way to prevent all the chaos that existed in the past. But why did Loki and the others hate the TVA?

Because they punished people who were found in other timelines by sending them to the void which was an extremely horrible place to be. They did this to people who even found themselves on another timeline by no fault of theirs. Another reason: they wiped the memory of some defaulters and made them work in the agency. These were the reasons why the TVA was hated.

And of course those were good reasons to be hated, so why would a well meaning guy make those kind of rules? The story succeeded in explaining why he made the TVA and it was a good reason, the viewer would say 'yes, I see why, this guy clearly means well.' But that only covers the creation of the TVA, how about the wicked rules? Because the TVA could totally function without doing those wicked things. 

The TVA could take care of people found on deviating timelines without dumping them in such a horrible place, the TVA can also get people to work in the agency without wiping the memory of those found in deviating timelines too and making them agents and lying to them they were created by the Time Keepers. 


# Conclusion

In order to make Loki and the others hate the TVA/Kang the conqueror, marvel should have come up with something better and not this. So there you have it. How many of you who watched the series also saw this flaw? Were you affected by it too? How disappointed were you?
