What? You don't need a very large brain to know that infant death is something bad. Any plan that includes it includes evil. It's as simple as that. Either a god does not exists or an *almighty* god decided to create evil. In your interpretation of what you are seeing, Jesus sees it as more important to put you in charge of the doctor guy instead of allowing an infant to live.

Oh, no, that's not my attitude at all. The sentiment of your post is something that does get me angry and I think it's really awful, but I'm really talking about the idea. I wouldn't have the audacity to judge you as a person based on this post alone, I'm objecting to what you are saying. Managing to get yourself out of such dire situation, overcoming addiction and poverty is something I respect, not something I'll judge you for. Also, the fact that I'm criticizing what you are saying so openly and directly doesn't mean that I'm under the delusion that I am myself perfect or better. We are all probably wrong about a bunch of things we do and that surely includes me.

I'm attacking the ideas in your post, it's absolutely not about your past or present. I hope you're taking this with an open mind which I have the feeling you actually are.

I'm annoyed because you are talking about a god and how he has special attitude towards you while ignoring how bad the world is for many other people regardless of their faith. I think that's a poisonous attitude that affirms a faith for all the wrong reasons. And than it leads to intellectual stubbornness (like saying you would never change regardless of anything that might happen) and than it opens the door for justifying all the atrocious ideas that come with Christianity along with the positive ones.

Oh, I don't believe in the Christian theology so me having a problem with Jesus is like you having a problem with magic unicorns. How can you have a problem with something that you don't believe exists? I openly and honestly criticized your posts because I think the ideas that you have presented are pretty bad and wrong. And I think bad ideas should be criticized, debated and hopefully abandoned by their propagators.

Oh, I'm not going to do that. I gave you my two cents on this one and I'm certainly not going to come back under every post and repeat the same thing over and over again. I might read something else and mention a different point if I have it who knows, but I'm surely not going to start a war here :P If I see that you are actually interested in having a conversation and have something to say back to me and criticize my points, I would be happy to engage. I also hope you realize that telling you that I think that the ideas you have expressed are atrocious regardless of how frankly or diplomatically I've done that has nothing to do with persecution.

I was actually hoping to hear back on the questioning theology thing. You said that the doctor guy should probably question their theology. This means that you think there are objective reasons for your theology to be more reasonable than his. I'm really interested what you think those reasons are? If they are strong and objective, you might actually convert people with them, right? And since you say that it's fine to argue that people should question their theologies, it should be fine that yours is questioned too, right?
