Mis viajeros seguimos adentrandonos en la historia única que Maracaibo nos pueda regalar, en nuestra ciudad existe un lugar que lleva por nombre Veritas que anteriormente recien fundado se llamaba "Las Veritas", este icónico barrio posee gran antiguedad sienfo de gran importancia para la cultura de todos los que aquí viven, podemos ver sus casas coloniales, pintorescas que reflejan el Maracaibo de antaño, casas en alturas con techos de madera en tejas, mas largas que anchas, refglejando vertientes de colores vibrantes que forman el mas hermoso estilo colorido, con puertas y ventanas angostas de madera, decidí recorrerme a pie el barrio de Veritas, para mostrarselo por aquí.

Ahora bien "Las Veritas era un sitio seguro para el comercio Marabino puesto por allí pasaba el famoso tranvía de Maracaibo justamente en el siglo pasado, este iba por toda sus calles principales, es un lugar enmaracada por su gente cuna de personas talentosas como fue el famoso humorista "El gallo de Veritas", este expresaba sus chistes por medio de la idiosincrasia aprendida en este famoso barrio, este sector lo cueta con todos grandes comercios, hospitales, clínicas, instituciones educativas así  como también diversos sitios emblemáticos.

Por esas calles de las veritas no existía el asfalto era el barro rojo el que se encontraba en todas las calles, esto estas calles se llenaban del paso de la Cañada Vargas, poseía 70 hectáreas siendo el sector puro terreno arcilloso, pero luego el sector fomentando y progresando debido al auge petrolero, que se estaba dando en la época y esta ciudad se fue urbanizando, modernizándose a diferencias de otros barrios de Maracaibo siendo un hermoso lugar emblemático que se mantiene vivo al transcurrir del tiempo en donde el tiempo en algunas viviendas se queda totalmente congelado, reflejando esa esencia verdadera de nuestra Maracaibo.

En este emblemático lugar se encuentra lugares importantes de referencia para la ciudad como los antiguos cepillados de Jesús Ríos, así como también el antiguo museo de Rafael Urdaneta que se encuentra totalmente operativo, para las personas se estima que Rafael Urdaneta nació en este lugar siendo un gran prócer que le dio tanto a nuestro estado Zulia y a Venezuela, así como también podemos encontrar pequeños monumentos que rinden homenaje a la esposa de Rafael Urdaneta y también al Doctor Rodolfo D' Empire.

Las Veritas, para finalizar es ese lugar histórico emblemático de Maracaibo que acompaña a los otros barrios importantes como lo es el famoso empedrado de Santa Lucía y "El Saladillo", un lugar que sin duda alguna queda totalmente congelado en nuestro patrimonio cultural marabino, tiene mucho que ofrecer cultura, tradición, historia, así como también recreación ya que en el lugar se encuentra el famoso e histórico parque a Rafael Urdaneta donde las personas pueden disfrutar de un rato diferente y de las múltiples fuentes de agua que posee.
