But the truth is, their foundation is weak and it is not their fault. What they need is not judgment but help. A kind teacher will see this and refuse to give up even when others already have. Intervention classes are one of the best ways to support struggling learners. It is a space where we slow down, go back to the basics, and help them rebuild what was never properly laid. Sadly, many school leaders do not create time for this. Teachers are overloaded with work and those who need the most help are left behind. Some students do not even like intervention classes at first. While their classmates are playing, they are stuck inside learning. It feels like punishment. But something changes over time. They begin to improve. They work harder not just to catch up but because they finally see someone believes in them. As teachers, we are more than just people who explain topics. We are builders, healers, and restorers. Our job goes beyond the chalkboard. It is about touching lives and changing stories. No child is truly dull. Many just never had a proper chance.
