<h3> I've happily used Steemit for about a year but the new Privacy policy and Terms of Service pop-up rubbed me the wrong way and has prompted me to look elsewhere for ways to access the STEEM blockchain. I've since made the move to Busy.org and am positively surprised by this alternative. </h3>

[Busy.org](https://busy.org/i/@pandorasbox) is actually _just like Steemit_. It lets you access your regular old account, post and comment on the STEEM blockchain, access your wallet, and everything that you're used to. The only real difference is that the layout is a bit different, but otherwise it is simply an alternative way to access your account. A good back-up if you don't want to sign the new TOS and Privacy Policy, like me.

<h3>BETTER THAN STEEMIT?</h3> Busy actually offers several improvements over Steemit! As you may know development on Steemit has been rather slow this past year, so I was happy to discover some features on Busy.org that have been sorely lacking from Steemit for a while now.

**Voting slider:** One thing that I like is the addition of the **voting slider** which lets you vote with less than 100% votes. This feature is native to STEEM but Steemit doesn't allow it's usage until you've reached 500SP or more. On Busy.org _everybody_ can use it. This helps preserve voting power and lets you upvote more.

**Alerts:** Busy.org also has automatic alerts that both pop-up and light up in the top-right. These alerts show you anything related to your account such as letting you know when somebody new has replied to a post of yours, or when somebody new started following you.

**Activity:** There is also an Activity Tab, which is proving to be pretty useful for seeing all related activity on your account. Everything from replies to upvotes, follows or unfollows, transfers and everything else will be visible here. There are handy filters to tone this big list down into the information that is relevant to you at the time.

**Visible Voting power & percentage:** I used an add-on extension to see this information on Steemit, but on Busy.org you can view your own and other people's voting power percentage right from their profile page. It also shows you how much their upvote is worth.

**No Privacy policy or TOS:** Kind of the main reason I moved to Busy.org!

There are more advantages too. I think there's a busy.org bot that upvotes posts made through the platform, and there's a Bookmarks tab that I still need to look into (it sounds handy though!). Busy.org also lets you add links to your profile for other social media websites or even cryptocurrency wallet adresses, and there is a feature for adding in a signature.

I haven't been back to Steemit since the new pop-up and I think I'll be sticking with Busy.org from now on. Are you still on Steemit? Have you tried Busy.org?
