Hello everyone,

Today’s post is all about milk and milk products. We can produce many things from milk. Having our own cows make it possible for us to have plenty of milk and milk products at our home. This post is all about that.

This is the fresh milk that is kept on fire for boiling. Boiling kills the bacterias that are harmful and makes the milk long lasting. We are going to make many things out of this milk.

**1.Cheese-**
We add a little bit of white vinegar to the hot milk and this differentiate the milk solids from the liquid portion of the milk. You can see the process in the photograph below.

Now the liquid potion is filtered using a cloth. You can see well distinguished solids and liquid portions of the milk in this photograph.

Now this cloth is kept under weight for some hours to fully extract the liquid substance. 

The cheese is ready. We call this Paneer in local language.

**Butter, buttermilk and curd:-**

The milk is kept with a little bit of curd in warm area. This makes curd.

The curd is processed using a machine to extract butter. 

The remains after extracting butter is buttermilk.

The photograph below shows the utensil in which the curd is being made.

**Ghee (Purified butter) Most expensive milk product**
Now to make ghee, butter is heated for hours to purify this. This makes the butter caramelised and makes it transparent as you can see in photograph below.

Now that transparent ghee is filtered using a sieve.

One special thing about ghee is that is when it solidifies, it looses its transparency and becomes opaque. This is purest form of milk fat.

As you have seen that by using milk only we can make so many things. Now using these products, we can not even count that how many items can we make. Comment down some dishes made using milk products.
