Realmente interesante  tu desafío, bella @mosa71, y así como no cubres mis expectativas, estoy seguro que tampoco cubriré las tuyas ni la de los otros  hivers que se han interesado en el tema. En mi criterio; la primera premisa es que en cualquier pareja  ninguno es igual. “Cada cabeza es un mundo”,  dice el refrán;  ¿Quién puede objetar esta verdad?.  En cada integrante de la pareja se dan sentimientos  y deseos  por el otro,  se comparten ideales y propósitos parecidos o comunes; pero, nunca uno será igual al otro. Esto es categórico y es el principio a establecer desde el inicio de la relación para fundamentar el respeto y la comprensión mutua. 

Comparto casi todo lo que dices en relación al tema de las manos; pero en una relación de pareja no solo hay el agarrase de las manos. También está la forma de mirarse a los ojos, la forma de tocarse, besarse o de conversar en la intimidad o en público, entre otras conductas típicas de los enamorados como escribirse o hablarse a través  del teléfono móvil o del correo.  Todo este conjunto de conductas o comportamientos le confieren a cada quien el perfil  para la confianza y la solidez de la relación.

En esa declaración donde tu personaje afirma  “deseo que con mi compañía o sin ella, tu vida tenga sentido”, se resume buena parte de lo que es al amor verdadero. Porque el amor no es un ideal- El amor es un sentimiento sublime y por encima de los sentimientos están los ideales, y uno de los más hermosos ideales humanos es “que la vida tenga sentido”.  Y la vida tiene sentido cuando no solo podamos respirar el aire todas las mañanas porque estamos vivos. Muchos dicen en la mañana, al despertarse, “gracias Señor, porque también he despertado hoy”, otros “gracias a Dios estoy vivo”, así palabras más, palabras menos.  Pero, qué sucede cuando tu pareja, el amor de tu vida no está a tu lado porque se ha ido a otro país a hacer un postgrado o a trabajar, o a visitar a un familiar enfermo? , es decir, cualquier situación  cuando no es posible agarrarse de las manos.  De modo que para mí, la vida tiene sentido cuando tenemos la libertad plena para desarrollar nuestros ideales, sin el freno que representa una relación que impone obligaciones formales de manera unilateral o habitual.

Por supuesto, entiendo que la relación de pareja no solo une y reúne a dos personas que son muy diferentes pero que se aman. Esa relación tiene sus bemoles cuando hay hijos o cuando la pareja habita la casa de los padres de uno de ellos; de igual modo cuando se tienen serias dificultades económicas.   Esos bemoles de la vida, en muchos casos, nos llevan a descuidar aquella costumbre o placer de caminar por la calle agarrados de la mano. 

Lo otro tiene que ver con la forma de agarrarse de las manos: si es con los dedos entrecruzados o tomando las palmas nada más o simplemente un dedo. He visto a parejas, de edad avanzada, caminando por la calle, agarrados de la mano y es una escena tan hermosa como cuando ves a una pareja de liceístas caminar hacia o desde su plantel educativo, agarrados con los dedos entrecruzados, mientras caminan por la acera, ríen  y conversan. Pero lo que más me conmueve es la mirada, esa mirada de amor y deseo que es lo que siempre nos mantiene atrapados y es lo que le da sentido e IDENTIDAD a la vida: amar y sentirse amado. Y una mirada de amor es muy difícil de simular.  Para concluir, vale recordar los versos del cantautor venezolano José Luis Rodríguez:

Really interesting your challenge, beautiful @mosa71, and just as you don't meet my expectations, I'm sure I won't meet yours or those of the other hivers who have taken an interest in the subject. In my criteria; the first premise is that in any couple no two are the same. "Every head is a world", says the saying; who can object to this truth.  In each member of the couple there are feelings and desires for the other, they share similar or common ideals and purposes; but, one will never be equal to the other. This is categorical and is the principle to be established from the beginning of the relationship in order to establish mutual respect and understanding. 

I share almost everything you say in relation to the subject of hands; but in a couple relationship there is not only the holding of hands. There is also the way of looking each other in the eyes, the way of touching, kissing or talking in private or in public, among other typical behaviors of people in love such as writing or talking to each other through the cell phone or email.  All this set of behaviors or behaviors give each person the profile for the trust and strength of the relationship.

In that statement where your character affirms "I wish that with my company or without it, your life has meaning", a good part of what true love is, is summarized. Because love is not an ideal- Love is a sublime feeling and above feelings are ideals, and one of the most beautiful human ideals is "that life has meaning".  And life has meaning when we can not only breathe the air every morning because we are alive. Many people say in the morning, when they wake up, "thank you Lord, because I also woke up today", others "thank God I am alive", so words more, words less.  But what happens when your partner, the love of your life is not at your side because he has gone to another country to do a postgraduate degree or to work, or to visit a sick relative? I mean, any situation when it is not possible to hold hands.  So for me, life makes sense when we have the full freedom to develop our ideals, without the restraint of a relationship that imposes formal obligations in a unilateral or habitual way.

Of course, I understand that a couple's relationship not only unites and brings together two people who are very different but who love each other. Such a relationship has its ups and downs when there are children or when the couple lives in the house of the parents of one of them, as well as when there are serious economic difficulties.   In many cases, these difficulties in life lead us to neglect that custom or pleasure of walking down the street holding hands. 

The other thing has to do with the way of holding hands: whether it is with fingers intertwined or just holding palms or just one finger. I have seen elderly couples walking down the street, holding hands, and it is as beautiful a scene as when you see a couple of high school students walking to or from their school, holding hands with their fingers intertwined, while walking down the sidewalk, laughing and talking. But what moves me the most is the look, that look of love and desire that is what always keeps us trapped and is what gives meaning and IDENTITY to life: to love and to feel loved. And a look of love is very difficult to simulate.  To conclude, it is worth remembering the verses of the Venezuelan singer-songwriter José Luis Rodríguez:
