ETH TOKENS ISSUE

Dear clients, please do not deposit ETH based tokens till we announce that the problem is solved. We need wallets to be open for maximum speed in finding solution for this issue and we ask you to not send tokens. ETH tokens processing is extremely slow or incorrect at the moment. Thanks for your patience.

I got the above^ notification on a small exchange that I use today. I know the network has reportedly been bogging down some lately, from the many ICO tokens being issued on the ETH Platform, so maybe it's just a lag...

This crazy warning above however, not only scares me but makes me a little angry! Is this going to be a way/excuse for exchanges to take your tokens and blame the ETH network? Instead of a notification like this that you could easily miss, why not just disable all the wallets or not allow evan allow you to get a deposit address?

What does their notification even mean, lol " We need wallets to be open for maximum speed in finding solution for this issue and we ask you to not send tokens". This was mixed in with 8 other "notifications" which were all announcing new coins and trading pairs. Unfortunately, I read this warning after my Minereum deposit never showed up. The exchange I'm referring to here is www.livecoin.net

Head's up guys and gals, check your exchanges you're using and make sure they're ok before sending any Ethereum Tokens!

Ethereum is not in trouble in my opinion. The entire ethereum network has been jammed up this week because of a perfect storm with the flash crash/large sell that happened on GDAX combined with ongoing ICO's. These are growing pains. No need to freak out. Poloniex has temporarily suspended ETH deposits/withdraws as well until the network stabilizes.  Just hold on to your ETH and you'll be fine. You have to keep in mind that all of this is still in relative infancy.

Nice post. Same thoughts here. Where there's money to be made, people will start to invest. The issue is that the real investors already got their investments in before this happens. You shouldn't blame the exchanges for the crazy mishap that are ICOs. The ICO craze is literally grinding the ETH network to a halt.

With the trades not only from the ICO but also trading ETH, the system collapsed and transactions were rejected. I think the Devs should push for the POS soon to solve this issue.

Personally, I think ETH, at least for a while, should move to a hybrid POW/POS before going full blown POS. I think by doing this, it would make the transition smoother.
