Wednesday Walk And Make Me Smile: A Walk Around Saradise

The Saradise Commercial Center located in the mature neighborhood of BDC (Borneo Development Corporation) is an integrated lifestyle development. It comprises 8 blocks of 4-storey shophouses and a block of 3-storey shophouses dedicated to F & B outlets including a food court.

The whole development is beautifully landscaped, and instead of trying to cram more shophouses, generous areas have been left for open space and greenery.  Coupled with a large number of car parking lots available, this place has become very popular with Kuchingnites.

The whole place is beautifully landscaped.

You can see greenery almost everywhere.

The developer has taken great pains to incorporate landscaping as an integral part of the development.

With its shophouses-in-the-park concept, I feel that I am taking a walk in the park.

There are many restaurants and cafes located inSaradise. As such it is not surprising that it has become a favorite place for dining out as well as a watering hole. This block of shophouses, Saradise Edge is dedicated solely for F & B.

This beautifully designed food court can be found at Saradise Edge.

The stalls in the food court serve local delicacies and favorites.

There is an art gallery in the food court featuring the works of Sarawkian artists. You can dine while appreciating these works of art. The paintings are also availble for sale

The food court even has a pick-up point for drive-through orders.

Trevi is a western restaurant and inside there is a beautiful fountain. I assume that the name of the restaurant is taken from Trevi Fountain in Itlay.

Fancy a plate of noodles, you can give it right here at Yichuan noodles.

You will be spoilt for choice at Saradise, Japanese food is also available here.

This cafe serves local dishes such as Sarawak Laksa, Nasi Lemak and so on.

I have taken delicious dim sum at Little Chef Garden.

Blendsmiths serve great coffee, juices and western dishes.

I have yet to try this cafe yet and so I am not sure how good is the avocado drink.

Besides restaurants and cafes, many other shops are here as well catering to the lifestyle needs of Kuchingnites.
