Saludos, estimada comunidad, vuelvo por aquí, ya que acepté la invitación de la amiga @damarysvibra para participar en la iniciativa "Dímelo cantando", propuesta por @mosa71. Esta convocatoria me mueve porque me encanta la música, es un lenguaje universal, una expresión natural del individuo, un símbolo cultural que establece patrones de comportamiento y estilos sociales. A través de ella podemos expresar nuestros sentimientos y evocar recuerdos. Es tan versátil que nos puede hacer llorar o bailar de la alegría. Justamente eso es lo que quiero puntualizar en ese post, por ello elegí dos canciones, las cuales voy a analizar.

La letra, sin duda, comunica un mensaje, pero la interpretación del cantante puede traspasar fronteras, hacer sentir a la audiencia con su vibrante voz, gestos y emociones. Hace gala a su lado el ritmo, los lentos (baladas y boleros) suelen asociarse con un estado de calma, reflexión e, incluso, de desamor. En cambio, los movidos (salsa, merengue, reguetón y otros) están concebidos para bailar y causar euforia, indistintamente de la poesía que haya en sus versos. Resta decir entonces que la actitud y proyección del artista es un elemento clave para lograr la empatía con la audiencia.

Greetings, dear community, I'm back here, since I accepted the invitation of my friend @damarysvibra to participate in the initiative "Tell me singing", proposed by @mosa71. This call moves me because I love music, it is a universal language, a natural expression of the individual, a cultural symbol that establishes patterns of behavior and social styles. Through it we can express our feelings and evoke memories. It is so versatile that it can make us cry or dance for joy. That is exactly what I want to point out in this post, that is why I chose two songs, which I am going to analyze.

The lyrics, without a doubt, communicate a message, but the singer's interpretation can cross borders, make the audience feel with his vibrant voice, gestures and emotions. The slow ones (ballads and boleros) are usually associated with a state of calmness, reflection and even heartbreak. On the other hand, the lively ones (salsa, merengue, reguetón and others) are conceived to dance and cause euphoria, regardless of the poetry in their verses. It remains to say then that the attitude and projection of the artist is a key element to achieve empathy with the audience.

La primera canción es de Kanny García, conocí a esta intérprete quizás porque la fuerza que mueve el destino la trajo a mis oídos, mi mundo estaba consumido por la apatía y se tildaba de más tonos oscuros de los que pudiera contar con mis dedos, me diagnosticaron una lesión en la rodilla que me generaba mucho dolor físico, por otro lado, la inflación del país me sobrepasaba y oprimía mis sueños y, para terminar de enmarcar aquel escenario infausto, lo que pensaba que era amor se desvaneció y se marchitó en mentiras, la realidad me daba de su dulce veneno y yo sorbía los tragos amargos de la desesperanza.  

La cantautora puertorriqueña llegó con una canción titulada: "Alguien", la cual me erizó la piel, cada palabra resonaba en mí, era como si la fuera escrito yo o ella se inspiró en mi situación. Sus versos se repetían en mi mente: “Qué triste cuando se desploma todo, que injusta se nos vuelve ya la vida”. Me parecía increíble cómo podía describir fielmente mis conmociones. Me di cuenta de que otras personas habían visitado ese pozo profundo, pues los comentarios en el videoclip eran incontables.  En ese momento pensé que nadie podría igualar mi dolor, me sentía perdida y sin ánimos de nada. Tal cual: “No sé si en este día exista alguien, alguien sin vida, alguien, hecho pedazos, alguien”. La lesión de mi rodilla bajó mi autoestima y cambió mi rutina diaria, usé muletas y hasta una silla de ruedas, la sensación de dependencia fue horrible. Estuve atada a una cama varios meses, culpando a todos y odiando mi realidad. Lágrimas de frustración mojaban mis almohadas, sentía que el tiempo para mí estaba suspendido, atrapada en una cápsula. 

También me llené de rencor hacia esa persona que me lastimó, gracias a la ayuda de mi familia pude entender que me estaba contaminando, olvidando mi esencia. Tal como lo dice Kany: "Yo no tengo que guardarte un sentimiento, de esos que traen pena y agonía". Cambiar de actitud fue lo que me hizo regresar a la vida, aceptar mis nuevas condiciones y adaptarme. Pensar con la mente clara y la tranquilidad al lado te ayuda a concebir que es lo más beneficioso para ti.

The Puerto Rican singer-songwriter came with a song titled: "Alguien", which made my skin crawl, each word resonated in me, it was as if I had written it or she was inspired by my situation. Her verses kept repeating in my mind: "How sad when everything collapses, how unfair life is already becoming to us". It seemed incredible to me how she could faithfully describe my shocks. I realized that other people had visited that deep well, as the comments on the video clip were countless.  At that moment I thought that no one could match my pain, I felt lost and at a loss for anything. Just like that: "I don't know if on this day there is someone, someone lifeless, someone, torn to pieces, someone". My knee injury lowered my self-esteem and changed my daily routine, I used crutches and even a wheelchair, the feeling of dependence was horrible. I was bed-bound for several months, blaming everyone and hating my reality. Tears of frustration wet my pillows, I felt that time for me was suspended, trapped in a capsule. 

I was also filled with resentment towards that person who hurt me, thanks to the help of my family I was able to understand that I was contaminating myself, forgetting my essence. As Kany says: "I don't have to keep a feeling for you, the kind that brings sorrow and agony". Changing my attitude was what brought me back to life, accepting my new conditions and adapting. Thinking with a clear mind and tranquility at your side helps you to conceive what is most beneficial for you.

Ahora conversaremos sobre la segunda canción, la cual me da aliento y me motiva a continuar, se titula: “Escucha a tu corazón” de Laura Pausini.  La vida es una gran montaña de altos y bajos, en algunas ocasiones, nos sentimos incomprendidos, abrumados por la realidad que se tilda asfixiante, así inicia la letra: “¡Qué! ¿Ahora, cómo estás?, plantada por tu historia acabada” Esa sensación la he experimentado más veces de las que quisiera, por eso es que calan tan hondo los versos de esta cantautora italiana. Sin embargo, no podemos perder la esperanza, la proyección de nuestras metas y anhelos, puesto que los momentos desagradables, impregnados de angustia y dolor, no son eternos, el arcoíris tarde o temprano nos arropará con sus vibrantes colores 🌈, como lo diría Laura: “Persigue tu destino.”

Now let's talk about the second song, which gives me encouragement and motivates me to continue, it is entitled: "Listen to your heart" by Laura Pausini.  Life is a big mountain of ups and downs, sometimes we feel misunderstood, overwhelmed by the reality that is labeled as suffocating, so begins the lyrics: "What, now how are you, planted by your story finished" I have experienced that feeling more times than I would like, that's why the verses of this Italian singer-songwriter penetrate so deep. However, we cannot lose hope, the projection of our goals and longings, since the unpleasant moments, impregnated with anguish and pain, are not eternal, the rainbow will sooner or later tuck us with its vibrant colors 🌈 as Laura would say: "Pursue your destiny."

“Prueba escucharte, tu corazón sí que sabe”, esa frase recorre mi ser y empiezo el camino hacia el autodescubrimiento, continuo en este constante aprendizaje. Muchas veces, nos dejamos convencer por los consejos y deseos de los demás, lo cual nos insatisface, transitamos por una vía llena de aflicciones. Las decisiones trascendentales de nuestra vida no pueden quedar como responsabilidad de otros, somos dueños de nuestros fracasos y victorias, siempre que hayamos reflexionado sobre los diferentes factores que puedan perjudicarnos u ofrecernos bienestar. 

Tomar decisiones no es un asunto sencillo, el temor a equivocarnos nos paraliza, la banalidad y el orgullo también obstaculiza la mirada, nos debatimos con la moral y la ética en eso que la sociedad llama: "Hacer lo correcto", las posturas pueden ser diversas en este punto, sobre todo, cuando implican comenzar desde cero, alejarte o soltar lo que creías que te hacía feliz. Aceptar las consecuencias de tus acciones es fundamental para avanzar. 

Transcribiré unos versos que se han vuelto un himno para mí:

Mira dentro de ti misma y entonces
prueba a volar donde el dolor no te siga.

La canción de Laura nos invita a recordar quienes somos, a valorarnos y a amarnos. El amor propio siempre ha sido la base para dar afecto a otros, nuestra estabilidad emocional nos permitirá ayudar y a irradiar esa luz intrínseca que tenemos.  Cada uno tiene mucho que aportar a la consolidación de un mejor mundo, solo basta la disposición de hacerlo.

"Try to listen to yourself, your heart really knows", that phrase runs through my being and I begin the path to self-discovery, I continue in this constant learning. Many times, we let ourselves be convinced by the advice and desires of others, which dissatisfies us, we go through a path full of afflictions. The transcendental decisions of our life cannot be left as responsibility of others, we are owners of our failures and victories, as long as we have reflected on the different factors that can harm us or offer us well-being. 

Making decisions is not a simple matter, the fear of being wrong paralyzes us, banality and pride also hinder the look, we debate with morality and ethics in what society calls: "Doing the right thing", the positions can be diverse at this point, especially when they involve starting from scratch, moving away or letting go of what you thought made you happy. Accepting the consequences of your actions is fundamental to move forward. 

I will transcribe some verses that have become a hymn for me:


Believe in yourself, listen in silence,
your heart will heal your wounds.
Look inside yourself and then
try to fly where pain won't follow you.

Laura's song invites us to remember who we are, to value and love ourselves. Self-love has always been the basis for giving affection to others, our emotional stability will allow us to help and to radiate that intrinsic light we have.  Each one of us has a lot to contribute to the consolidation of a better world, all we need is the willingness to do it.
