Welcome! Chess fans, to the Games showcase post, where we will look at some interesting games from the third round of the Saturday Weekly Tournament.

The selected games feature brilliant tactics, resilience, or good upsets. Game winners will share in the reward for their games being featured in this post. Rewards would be paid in Liquid.

In the last game feature post, I paid @maestroask and @sammy00 1.2 HBD each which is 20% of the previous post reward. 20% of the game features post will be shared among the featured players and it will be paid out in liquid.

In this tactical position, white went for a rook sacrifice but with a beautiful move on the way after sacrificing his rook for a knight on a7.

Forking the Queen and Knight which gains another piece. @maestroask is a mastermind at playing unorthodox chess and bringing something out of it. This was even spoken about in the chat box for spectators watching the game.

The power of two bishops eyeing the position of the opposite king shouldn't be underestimated and this game is an example of such. Speaking of which the black queen is under attack a couple of white pieces are still facing the king's position. Even if black tries, it might not be long before he blunders in defending.
