The (Not So) Social Network: My Take on Autism Spectrum Disorder
# *Well hello there!*

***I don't have a personal experience with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), but I can definitely tell you some things about it. This is going to be interesting, shall we?***

First of all, frankly, interacting with people with ASD, I realized they are some of the coolest people I've ever met. I mean, who wouldn't want to be friends with someone who's got a unique perspective on the world and doesn't care about social norms?

I must confess, though, that when I first heard the term "autism spectrum disorder," I thought it was some sort of condition that made people really good at solving Rubik's cubes or something. But then I learned that it's a neurological condition that affects communication and social skills, and it can manifest in a wide range of ways.

One of the things I've noticed is that people with ASD tend to have intense interests and passions. I mean, I have some pretty intense interests myself (like I get fascinated by crazy hand movements, crazy right?), but people with ASD take it to a whole new level. I've seen people who know everything there is to know about trains, or dinosaurs, or the history of video games. And I have to say, it's pretty impressive.

Another thing that's common among people ASD individuals is difficulty with social cues and communication. I kinda imagine how difficult it must be to navigate social situations when you're not picking up on all the subtle signals that other people are giving off. It's like trying to solve a puzzle with half the pieces missing.

**But you know what?**

ASDs (referring to the individual group) are also incredibly resilient and resourceful. They find ways to adapt and thrive in a world that isn't always designed with their needs in mind. And they often have a unique and valuable perspective on things that the rest of us might not even consider.

So, in conclusion, if you ever meet someone with ASD, don't be intimidated or put off by their differences. Embrace their quirks and their passions, and you might just learn something new and fascinating. And who knows, you might even end up with a new fascinating buddy.

## Thanks for reading Sayonara 🖐
