 Cranes at Hornborgasjön ## **<center>A week in the Countryside</center>** <br> <div class="pull-left"> **Hi all Nature Lovers!** During the last days of our stay in the country we made an excursion to Hornborgasjön. At the southern side tip is the place for spring's big trend dance. It is a good place to see cranes and in connection is the Information Center which is located in Bjurum, right next to highway 184 between Falköping and Skara. There were 11,000 cranes when we were there in mid-March, but at the beginning of April it could be up to 27,000 cranes. Not far from Bjurum and the beach dance is Gudhem's church. In Gudhem you can walk between different experiences more than 1000 years back in time. The church was built after the founding of Gudhem's monastery, sometime between 1160 and 1200. You can walk in the monastery ruins, where the nuns' masses and song once called for silence! There is also a hiking trail between Varnhem and Gudhem which is recommended to walk in the spring. Sends with a link of photos from previous visits to Gudhem. </div> <div class="pull-right"> **Hej alla naturälskare!** Under de sista dagarna av vår vistelse på landet blev en utflykt till Hornborgasjön. Vid den södra sidans spets av sjön är platsen för vårens stora trandans. Det är en bra plats för att skåda tranor och i anslutning finns informationscentralen som ligger i Bjurum, alldeles intill riksväg 184 mellan Falköping och Skara. Det var ungefär 11 000 tranor när vi var där i mitten av mars men i början på april kan det samlas så många som 27 000 tranor. Inte långt från Bjurum och trandansen ligger Gudhems kyrka. Kyrkan byggdes efter grundandet av Gudhems kloster, någon gång mellan 1160 och 1200. I Gudhem kan man vandra mellan olika upplevelser mer än 1000 år tillbaka i tiden. Man kan vandra i klosterruinen, där nunnornas mässor och sång en gång manade till stillhet.Det finns en vacker vandringsled mellan Varnhem och Gudhem som varmt kan rekommenderas att gå under våren.
