Sometimes there are those moments where things just click. If you remain open and aware of your surroundings and in a calm state, they tend to find you. 


I have had these moments frequently over the past few years. At first it felt big, like something life altering, but now it feels more like placing pieces into a puzzle. A larger image begins to become distinguishable. 


These two weeks at least two or three such moments occurred. 


Last night I started to play the same thing on guitar in 3 different octaves and realized for the first time I was playing up and down the fretboard without any difficulty.


 I realized just how many songs play with octaves like this, and it also brought up a concept that applies to everything “As above, so below”. 


Music is a truly spiritual pursuit. Sometirms I feel as it  reflects the blueprints of reality. 

 Today in the train, I started getting teary again to a band called Sparrows Tears. The old Japanese and Balkan folk songs sung by two women on guitar remind me of that home from before I came to this body.  I can’t remember what it looks like but I remember what it felt like and these kinds of folk songs really make me miss it. 


The hills they call me, guiding me through the city streets, making sure I don’t forget them or my purpose. 

The other puzzle pieces that came together are a bit hard to describe as well but they have to do with belief and knowing ans a kind of attached detachement. I’m very much engaged with the world in front of me but not too engaged. 

It’s easy to forget that the mirror is not the thing itself. 

Even scientifically, we can never know anything outside of ourselves, all experiences, all five senses are just signals.  We don’t know what a flower truly looks like, we only know how our eyes interpret waves of light reflected off the thing we call a flower. 

And so I feel more engaged in the world of waves and frequencies, of schrodingers cat, at least when I am alone and don’t get distracted from the otherworldlyness of worldliness. 😝

Don’t expect life to change if you don’t.  And I change and change and try to get better at sculpting this experience, these handful of decades, into something beautiful…the same way I try keep learning new ways to make new sounds and play with harmony and disharmony in music. 

I think most of these posts turn people off but that’s ok, they are for my own digestion more than anything else, as most of my posts are. 

Back to my 5 senses.
