If you ask many people about the year 2024 as compared to the previous years, many will agree that this is the toughest year so far, especially in terms of economic austerity. The world after COVID19 has been a tough place to survive.

But guess what! We are still here, breathing in oxygen and breathing out carbon dioxide. It means we are still alive. Perhaps if anyone had told us some years back that we will able to withstand the rigors that 2024 will bring, we would have called the person a liar.

In truth, we really don't know how strong we are, until being strong is no longer an option but a necessity.

### Who are we? 

>STEMng is the Nigerian sub-community of the stemsocial community, a community that has been supporting stem authors on the hive blockchain for about four years now. While stemsocial focuses on everyone irrespective of their country, STEMng is specifically for Nigerians. Ever since I witnessed someone being bitten by a poisonous snake and all the events that followed it, my views on snakebites have evolved significantly. While we spent hours looking for antivenom, little did I know that the antivenom may not even be effective against the venom of the snake. Thank goodness though, this was not the case. Hence, the significance of this post. Read it and understand where I'm coming from.
