This is a great short article and reiterates what I have been championing now for over +4 years.

In the future all Stock Certificates, Equities and Bonds will be replaced by Tokenised Cryptography..!!

This is the start of the end of Stock Exchanges as we know them and yet most people are totally oblivious to what is going on.

Bitcoin has a market cap of $70 billion , and is increasing at a rapid pace every minute, whereas gold has a market cap of $7 trillion. So, you can clearly see how more Bitcoin can grow.  Despite the fact that we have reached an all-time high, there is still huge potential for it to grow....

Bitcoin will still have its skeptics because it is digital whereas gold is a physical asset. If the Bitcoin community all of sudden believed that Bitcoin had no value, then the price would drop dramatically. Gold has its intrinsic value and already has its established credibility. I'm a firm believer in the power and value of blockchain. But I do think there will be people pushing for its demise.

Gold has one huge advantage: you can carry it with you, you can touch it, and it is much more widely exchangable against stuff you need for life. In a SHTF scenario, when power is down, your crypto wallets won´t compete.
So precious metals should still be a part of the portfolio, just as a backup for if very bad things happen (and the likelyhood for them is now higher than 20y ago).

1M$ would be app. 23,5kg gold. Indeed quite bulky. I don´t have that much, so not a problem for me. But take a few kg only with you, and keep the rest at a safe place, will give you flexibility to move around. Don´t forget, I am speaking about catastrophic events, like after an EMP or nuke disaster, when grids are offline.
