Big fan of MVP here, it’s about getting things out consistently. I remember hearing a very prolific creator along time ago to talk about the work to publish model. Especially with where the state of algorithms are today, you are rewarded for being consistent.

You know that with this reflection I asked myself a question: If there is something I am not so good at or it is difficult for me, is it good for me to put more effort into it? Or on the contrary, I concentrate on what I am good at and enjoy it without any obligation.
Sometimes because of study or work we have to make an effort in things that do not go with our personality because society puts each one of us in a box without caring about anything else.

I agree with the point that it is more important to work on the personLity skills than that of occupational skills. An openness to learning and resilience makes it possible for us to face the challenges bravely and adopt what is needed.

How rapidly the world is changing, it can never be said which skill would be in demand in the future or which one will be obsolete. A preparation for the future is to build a strong personality along with valuable interpersonal characteristics 

We cannot make life a puzzle to put together or a Rubik's Cube to find the colour face to face; life is random, we can plan and make all the provisions, but always something does not go as planned. Life is not a Lego game; well, yes, why not, a Lego game with defective pieces from the factory? Best wishes that you are enjoying your family holidays to the fullest. A hug from afar.

Definitely OCD :) If it were creativity, you would want to use all the colors of the rainbow!  I'm the same way though, I like things to be uniform.  

I used to be one of those people that needed to have things "just right". Attention to detail was something that started when I was a kid and was pounded in my head in the military. But, ever since I started my health struggles, that seemed to fall away. Not sure what happened, but I just stopped caring so much about things having a specific place or what colors matched. I am starting to gain a little of that back now. I think it was a matter of mental health more than anything. 

As far as a manager needing to have more skills these days, I agree. It is not enough to be a great leader, and have good management skills. For instance if you work in IT, you have to be well versed in the technical aspects of a great deal of things now. It used to be you could be an inch deep and a mile wide as long as you were a good leader and could manage budget and projects. 

Funny how kids can reveal so much about themselves when they play. My grandson has a road made out of clip together carpet /rubber tiles. Most kids would keep it flat and drive cars, but no he builds a 3 d house with a roof. Most kids don't think like that and he also likes his toys in straight neat little lines. I am fascinated watching how his brain thinks. Happy to see some creativity at least which is a good sign.

I'm with you mate. I need my designs to at least be symmetrical or it would drive me absolutely crazy. I CRAVE symmetry in my lego structures.

I've also been out of work for the past 3 months, and I'm fi ding it increasingly difficult to find opportunities that matched my prior wages and living standards. Competition for job placements has indeed gotten stronger and more daunting. It is rough out here in unemployment land.

I don't know about lego but I have placed my colored pencils in a specific order.

From one point of view I also feel the same but we can rearrange the formation of Lego blocks and rebuild something from the beginning but in life we don't get the opportunity to restart from the beginning 🤔. 

I believe that since there's no constant thing in life, there's therefore no right or wrong way way to approach the creation of something. But when things do change, we should be willing to shift and adapt to the changes. 

Whether blue, green, red, or some other color, they all cause the same pain to my feet.

I find sorting lego as a form of meditation. The universe and everything in it by nature is chaotic. Having hobbies that organizes thinks makes me feel in control or at least have some form of control.

This is the first time I am hearing aboyt Lego. I know the game but I never knew that it was called Lego...lol
Well, it is just like life as you have said. I just believe that the different colous stands for challenges and all the different happenings of life

One of the things to not get hung up on is thinking that you need to impart all of these skills to children from birth. There are a lot of things that the brain quite simply will not get until it’s good and ready no matter how early you start and how many different teaching techniques you apply. If you’ve done the basics (teach reading, writing, maths, optionally basic physics/chemistry which is like cooking and tides and stuff falls when you throw it, optionally other practical skills if you’re into that kind of thing, research and cross referencing skills, ability to deal with being wrong and perhaps most importantly curiosity and love of learning, bar learning difficulties and extreme introverts, social skills will come if you keep doing social things) then they’ve got a solid base from which to learn whatever skills they want. 

I’m reasonably sure you’ll have most of not all of that stuff going already. 

On the Lego thing I struggled to remember the last time I played with Lego and the brick colours being what they were and also having a lot more more than I did as a kid (we have a huge crate and sadly the kids don’t play with it anymore) I think I just made interesting patterns in whatever I was making. I can’t remember what the kids did, think the big two went for aesthetics, eldest had the habit of overcomplicating everything from young and youngest would generally just make without a care. Seems to be more or less the same in Minecraft 😆

I think I’m doomed, I apparently have no valuable skills, as the best I had were my storytelling/entertainment abilities 😅

Life is like the Lego blocks, but they do not fit each other all the time, that is to say, it does not always go as we have planned. As you said, everything can change in life in a moment. We should be ready for this, and have B, C, D... plans.
