Peter Thiel, of PayPal fame, was an early Bitcoin bull.  He has supported the premise of what BTC was developed for.

In this video I discuss how Thiel feels the original value envisioned by Satoshi is now gone and the price action might reflect that.  This is something that I discussed and have noted by the hijacking of it by Wall Street.  However, Thiel misses a point when it comes to the markets.

I respect your opinion and that of many other people who think the same, it already happened in previous bull markets, that people believe that bitcoin will not be the same, that it will not make new highs and will end up closing many mouths and maybe it will drop more in price, but for me at the end of the year the price of bitcoin will explode It's just my opinion, we will see what happens.

I wonder if he said this to try and get the price lower so he can buy more. Because at this point, once you look at BTC's popularity one couldn't come up with that way of thinking. We are seeing more countries invest in BTC, and more looking at crypto. The original purpose of BTC might have been lost, but that wouldn't affect the price that much.

I don't think this opinion has a truth in it. It's just his feeling. There is a strong indication that Bitcoin will go even more higher. Let us welcome this new generation gold.

Bitcoin has become just my main trade, but I don't really hold it. I see more usable value in Hive than I do Bitcoin. Monero is what Bitcoin should have been as far as usable money. Privacy is a huge issue in this day and age, a peer to peer cash needs to be private. Bitcoin will never live up to that.
