How far are you willing to push yourself?

This is a question high performance people are asked all the time.  The answer tends to be they are willing to go further than most will.

Take those who excel at running marathons.  Their bodies hurt just like everyone else.  However, they conditioned themselves to run past it.  From what I read, they attain what is called a "runner's high".  It is a point where the pain leaves their body and they continue running as if they were just starting the race, at least from that perspective.

We see the same thing with weight lifters.  Those who excel in this area seem to continually do more reps when other quit.

Finally, in the area of business, similar traits emerge.  If we look at Bill Gates, [Elon Musk](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-elon-musk), and Steve Jobs, all can be considered to be intelligent.  However, all spent time sleeping in their offices.  Regardless of their intelligence, they also outworked almost all others.

Where does this come from?  And what does this have to do with [Hive](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-what-is-hive)?

## Fully Committed

Do you know what it means to be fully committed to something?  This is a question that most of us will answer in the affirmative.  Sadly, for most of us, it is a reflexive answer.  The reality is that a large part of society has no idea what it means.  This is something that is reserved for only a select few.

Full commitment means success no matter what.  It takes on the connotation of being willing to keep going until the desired result is met.  This means setting incredible targets and going after them.  In the mind, nothing is going to stand in the way.

Compare this to the average person.  This individual excels at excuses.  We see it on a daily basis.  It is much easier to complain about things as opposed to getting something accomplished.

Let us take something that was traditional in its commitment: marriage.  

There was a time when a couple would do whatever was necessary to make things work.  Certainly there were exceptions in the case of alcoholism or violence.  However, for the vast majority, the commitment to the other person was guaranteed to bring out the motives mentioned here.

Today, we can see how this is lacking.  In the United States, the divorce rate is near 60% and climbing.  Most are willing to enter and exit marriages like they do a bathroom stall.  

We can make the same case for [businesses](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-business), careers, dedication to children, and a host of other areas.  In fact, we only have to look at the waistlines on most people to realize what is happening.

As we can see, this is becoming an epidemic.  The lack of ability to fully commit to something means that most achieve, at best, mediocrity.  Is this what life is all about?

For most, I guess it is.

## The Passion To Make It Payoff

Are people committed to Facebook?  At this point I would say it is more addition rather than commitment.  People spend hours on social media, time spend that does not have much (if any) positive [financial](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-finance) impact upon their lives.  

Hive is different.  

It does offer a [social media](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-social-media) aspect to it.  However, it also provides the opportunity to build for one's financial future.  We often used the analogy that we are each our own business on here.  This is something that rings true with me.  

Since we have a social media platform that is [monetized](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-monetization), we can see how an economy can form.  Each of us is a part of this, contributing to the success (or failure) going forward.  If we are successful, the rewards should be bountiful.  Everyone who is contributing should benefit greatly.

Of course, to achieve that end requires a lot of effort.  The question is how much are you giving?  **Are you fully committed to making Hive the best that it can be?**

There are a core group of people on here who can answer yes.  We see them showing up daily, immersing themselves in different projects.  They are committed and will not stop no matter what occurs.  While certain paths might close, as projects fail, they simply pick up the pieces and start something else.

This is true for [developers](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-developer), [content creators](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-content-creator), and project team members.  They just keep going.

Imagine what Hive would be like if 2,500 people on here had this mindset.  We are not talking about hundreds of thousands of people.  If a fraction of the userbase had the mindset of not stopping until total success was attained, how much more impact would we see.

They say if you want to have something of extreme value, affect the lives of 1 billion people.  Viewed in this manner, it is easy to see why Facebook is worth as much as it is.  Whether it is positive or negative, we cannot denying that Zuckerberg affected billions.

The same is true for [Apple](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-apple-financials), Microsoft, and [Google](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-alphabet-google-financials).  

With this target in mind, we can see how much upside there is.  What would Hive look like if it were affecting 1 billion people?  How much would the [assets](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-asset) tied to Hive be worth?  What would your life, and those of your friends and family, be like if that were a reality?

We often talk about building.  [Cryptocurrency](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/cryptocurrency) is offering a life-changing opportunity for people.  How many are taking advantage?  It is sad that most approach this with the same way they do most other things in life: with a mediocre mindset.

**Hive** and many of the projects on it have enormous potential.  To realize this, the efforts of thousands of people are required.  Who is standing in line to do the grunt work to achieve that end?

These are the ones who will financially benefit down the road.  Often, the path to great heights involved a great deal of trudging. 

Now is time to question your commitment.  Where does it stand?  Is there more that can be done?

If we are going to achieve these aspirational ends, a lot more people have to step up.  Once, however, that commitment is there, it is rather easy to put in the work.
