Government empowered news media are always choiceless in manipulating info if the government see fit. I do not always trust their headlines.
About the issue of web2 networks, this compliance will continue. Gov't just wait to see your users numbers go up and they come for you. at such state, either compliance or extinction. I guess this is where web3 will continue to have hedge.
