I've been through what you're describing. Got my entry in crypto in late 2017 and still here. Have seem my portfolio in red and really don't like the idea of investing in something and forgetting about it for a few years. I like to look closely to what happens with my investment. For example, the moment I won't be in touch with the crypto world I will be out of investing in any asset of this sort as well.

This is what I call a vision and I must thank you for these videos as for me are like financial lessons. Being born in an ex communist country and while I went to highschool in the beginning of capitalism, I didn't gain any financial culture along the way. Now after many years of graduation and being in crypto from 2017, I really feel that missing the financial culture is harder for me to wrap my head of what actions should be taken after an investment was started. I have in my portfolio cryptos performing x5 x10 x100 in bigger or lower amounts, but when should I liquidate them I don't know. Yeah, if my portfolio would be valuated at $1,000,000 maybe it would be easier for me to decide so, but when is less than 1/10th from it not sure is worth it to exit earlier...

even the most promising projects can fail because of unexpected events, I mean we were close to becoming north koreea under the thumb of sunny boy. Fortunately it didn't play out that way and we became stronger. 

Not wanting to bother with short term results is the reason I eventually settled for staking. If the coin is going to be around for a long time & if I get a decent APR - why bother?

Greed can get you to obsess over lot of stuff. These obsessions can make you money. But having a great community experience, play few games like Splinterlands, Rising Star etc. is a so much better quality of life experience. At the end my money is still better off in LEO or Hive than in an ETF.

Most traders tend to trade short term. If it's red, they are sad and if it's green, they are happy. Fundamentally I would consider when investors enter as whether or not the stock is a small cap, mid cap and large cap. The biggest problems with large investors entering in the beginning is 1) Can't enter and exit without significantly moving the price and 2) the project has not proven itself yet. This is also why the venture capitalist and small investors will benefit the most for their risk.

I always believe in long-term investing and not in crypto because it's very dynamic currency and also very unpredictable and risky. However I like to earn and invest in crypto, what I mean we can earn on platforms like Steemit and Ecency and invest it in other cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum.

I also believe we can invest some amount in high risk stocks or cryptos to earn high return because high risk = high returns.
