**_What Feels Like Ages Ago!_**
_This is something I never thought would happen, I really thought I was going to be building manual transmissions all day everyday, heh well over the course of the years that shifted dramatically!_
_Ain't no way this feels like so long ago! It feels like years! It hasn't been years I think I tore down a couple at the start of the year but still AGES AGO!_
_I'm not even too sure if I remember exactly how to tear this one anymore, let's hope muscle memory kicks in right, sure it will!_

**_We Already Know Part Of The Failure!_**
_It's more than often bearing failure, and I mean this does make sense right, if the transmission always has oil the chances of it burning out are slim but wait till a bearing hits the fan and you've got a quick and easy rebuild on your hands! It's a fun thing isn't it!_
_These bearings take a tremendous load every time you engage the vehicle in gear and drive, tremendous! Well let's pull it apart and do some inspecting there!_
_Let's see what the government has to say about this!_

_Okay, so the oil...._
_The oil is a bit meh if you ask me, it does look like it has gotten a oil change and maybe they hoped that the grinding noise would dissapate but it must have gotten worse right! Flushing out the old steel particles making way for new ones!_
_No worries though, less dirty oil on my table! Still dirty but less so!_

**_The Chances Of Luck!_**
_Now the chances of this is slim, only because this is a correctional service vehicle and they drive on some whacky mud roads and pig farms, it was a bearing failure at start and if driven for too long after that it turns into a mash up of gears! Literally!_
_The bearing fails and the goons inside fall out and this makes either one of the cluster or counter shafts to lay down on one side, that means the helical gear teeth don't match right with the other set of teeth! That creates friction and friction creates heat, and heat is very bad!_

_I have to say this is a fun sport to be part off! Beyond fun!_
_TO be able to do teardowns and rebuild like it's your bread, I mean this is but what I'm getting down to is that I don't think there isn't anything I can do myself, that's great!_

_Good stuff, manuals are so simple to work with, for the most part that it!_
_I myself am a lot more comfortable with a good old automatic transmission, but sometimes you got to dip it out into a different pool! Keeps a man young!_

**_Heat Helps Or It Doesn't!_**
_No two ways about it!_
_See these nuts usually don't sit so tight! But because this transmission must have gotten some heat from the bearings grinding and all that it's safe to say that it might need some heat to help it get off!_
_Well you could always try a bigger impact tool but at this point the heat was easier to achieve!_

**_Safe To Say!_**
_Damn sorry for that blurry over there!_
_It was safe to say that after I got that nut removed things got torn apart pretty damn quickly, I think it was that muscle memory kicking right in ey!_
_Now I do have to say I am keen on learning something new for a change! Just something that might make this seem exciting again!_
_Have to say it's getting dull now, they should release a new car with new problems or something come on!_
