I'll be honest, sometimes I envy Southerners, of course, only with good envy. Your nature is so saturated with bright colors, light aromas of warmth and an atmosphere of carelessness. It's easy to relax and unwind in it, it's great.

My wife thought the same thing yesterday morning, and she wanted to arrange a southern one-day tourism. So we had to travel 600km south (in both directions) to visit one of her favorite pastry shops. I grumbled for show that I would have to spend almost the whole day driving, but only for show, because I also really love this place.

In one old town, on an old street lined with old buildings from a previous era, far from the tourist marushrats and the central promenade, there is one house. A house where visitors are always welcome and ready to give them the most delicious tea in the world.

Even just admiring it from the outside, you get a real pleasure. Surrounded by lush vegetation, which have not changed at all over the past 10 years, from the moment we opened it for the first time, our favorite shop where you can buy a million varieties of tea, coffee and eat delicious desserts.. Which seems to have been transported here from the beginning of the 20th century.

Very few people go inside, I think they are a little confused by how old everyone looks and consider this place to be part of some kind of exposition or an expensive institution. But this is the most ordinary cafe, in which the owners have invested not only money and time, but also their soul.

Getting inside, you feel that even the air here is different, as if cleaner and filled with the aromas of other times. As always, almost nothing has changed inside here. Such places should not change, I think they cannot. They have already won back from time their right to remain unchanged in the flow of change and to preserve the atmosphere of their time.

Even if they are surrounded by the coming progress, even if something in their interior is just a prop, or a little from another time. It doesn't matter, everything here acquires a touch of antiquity, absorbing the entourage of the surrounding walls.


The owners are not so much concerned with expanding the assortment and revenue, as with interior decoration. Every detail is taken into account. Handmade lace napkins, fresh apples on the counter, for treats, a lot of antique dishes.

All this you can see in detail, and even buy. But sometimes the hand does not rise to pick up some object and take it away from here. Everything is so appropriate and looks great together. Even the candy boxes are designed to fit into the atmosphere of this place.

But our most favorite corner is the backyard, where the summer cafe is located. A very bright place, not only in the sense of sunlight, but also the feelings and emotions that it gives you.

There will always be flowers on each table (of which there are only 5, but still). Chairs here seem uncomfortable, but in fact they are rarely needed, it's nice for you to stand and admire the rose bushes, or to examine the situation. The owners will be happy to bring you soft cushions for chairs and a blanket if you suddenly want to spend time with comfort.

There was even a corner for a sullen guy like me. I really like the dishes that are placed everywhere here, as a decoration. Some of it is used, and you can never understand which of it is for business and which is for beauty. Looking at some table, you think that this is just a production, but no, it was your tea that was brought.

After drinking our tea with a delicious dessert, we bought a couple of boxes of sweets as a gift to friends of loved ones and set off on our way back. Which cost us several times more than all purchases, and took us several times longer than being at the destination.

But everything went great. Of course, we would like this place to be closer to us, but on the other hand, if you think about it, then it could lose its magical significance and influence for us. So everything is in its place and happens when needed.
