## TRAYING TO LEARN PHOTO EDITING IN LIGHTROOM
Usually, I’m a bit lazy when it comes to editing in Lightroom — especially because the slide view itself already offers quick and easy adjustments. I often use it just for basic edits, like brightening up dark photos. Most of the time, phone cameras already auto-adjust key settings for a decent result. Of course, things are a bit different with a DSLR, where you have more manual control to get the shot just how you want it.

To be honest, I still consider myself an amateur when it comes to editing. I know the basics, but I haven’t developed a signature style yet. There are photographers I admire, and sometimes I try to mimic their style, but I’ve realized that copying someone’s work — or simply applying their presets — doesn’t allow me to truly express myself.

That said, I believe every creative journey needs a starting point.

So for now, I’ve decided to keep experimenting — even if it means copying styles manually in Lightroom — in the hope that, eventually, I’ll discover a color tone and editing style that truly feels like mine. I may not be consistent right away, and that’s okay. What matters is that I keep learning and stay familiar with the tools, rather than doing nothing or relying only on presets.

I have to admit — it’s still quite far from BenJ’s style, and the results feel pretty random. But interestingly, I’ve learned a lot through this process. It made me realize how much more there is to explore. People often say, “The more you learn, the more you realize how little you actually know” — and I can totally relate to that now.

It’s all part of the learning journey, and I’m grateful for it.
