Splinterlands: This is the amount of SPS you have to stake in the future to get the same amount of rewards. Will it kill the game or save it?
Bärenmärkte sind schlecht für Krypto-Games. Viele Games kämpfen ums Überleben und nur die solidesten werden durch den Winter kommen.

In den letzten Monaten gab es eine Reihe von kontroversiellen Änderungen, die vor allem Druck erzeugen sollten, Karten zu kaufen, Karten upzuleveln, DEC zu burnen und SPS zu staken. Money Grab oder einfach nur Tokenomics?

Fairerweise muss man aber sagen, dass das Staken von SPS für Rewards schon lange angekündigt wurde und auch so im Whitepaper steht. Und man wird SPS in Zukunft vermutlich sehr günstig mieten können.

Und das Konzept ist grundsätzlich nicht schlecht. Es erzeugt einen zusätzlichen Usecase für SPS und ein Incentive mehr SPS zu staken. Davon sollten eigentlich alle profitieren.

Wichtig ist auch, dass die Requirement keine harte Grenze darstellt, sondern man kann auch mit deutlich weniger SPS in Silver oder Gold spielen, bekommt dann aber weniger Rewards.

Das Konzept ist ok, aber die Requirement ist meiner Meinung nach zu hoch. Für Gold bräuchte man fast 60K SPS, für Diamond fast 180K und für Champion über 413K, das sind aktuell 9K Dollar, um die gleichen Rewards wie jetzt zu bekommen.

Und jetzt stellt euch vor, was passieren würde, wenn SPS irgendwann (in einem Bullenmarkt) auf 0.10 oder sogar $1 steigt. Dann wären diese Zahlen noch absurder.

Vor allem neue Spieler haben dann überhaupt keine Chance mehr in höheren Ligen zu spielen.

Zu bedenken ist auch, dass viele treue SL-Spieler ihre SPS teurer gekauft haben, als sie jetzt wert sind.

Insgesamt finde ich die Hürde viel zu hoch, sowohl für bestehende als auch für neue Player. Aber das Konzept ist okay.

Was meint ihr? Wird dieser Move das Game killen oder retten? Sind die Zahlen zu hoch oder genau richtig, um einen Demand für SPS zu generieren?

Bear markets are bad for crypto games. Many games are struggling and only the most solid ones will survive.

There have been a number of controversial changes in recent months, mainly to create pressure to buy cards, level up cards, burn DEC, and stake SPS. Money grab or just tokenomics?

To be fair though, staking SPS for rewards has been announced for a long time and is also in the whitepaper. And you will probably be able to rent SPS very cheaply in the future.

And the concept is basically not bad. It creates an additional use case for SPS and an incentive to stake more SPS. Everyone should benefit from this.

It is also important that the requirement is not a hard limit, but you can also play with significantly less SPS in Silver or Gold, but then get less rewards.

The concept is ok, but the requirement is too high in my opinion. For Gold you would need almost 60K SPS, for Diamond almost 180K and for Champion over 413K, which is currently 9K dollars to get the same rewards as now.

And now imagine what would happen if SPS eventually (in a bull market) rises to 0.10 or even $1. Then these numbers would be even more absurd.

Especially new players would then have no chance at all to play in higher leagues.

You also have to consider that many loyal SL players bought their SPS more expensive than they are worth now.

All in all, I think the hurdle is way too high, both for existing and new players. But the concept is okay.

What do you guys think? Will this move kill the game or save it? Are the numbers too high or just right to generate demand for SPS?

The other problem is you don't need SPS ONLY to play.

For new players, Spellbook for $10

and cards.

Even if you have $9k SPS to reach the highest league, you can't if all you have are lvl 1 cards. Heck, you can't even earn rewards if you have starter cards ONLY. 

So, add that to the new SPS requirment and let us all meet in silver league.

Als Bronze I Spieler mit dafür ausreichend SPS tut mir die Änderung nicht weh. Die Probleme in höheren Ligen verstehe ich aber. Bin mir nicht sicher, ob der Wertzuwachs an SPS den voraussichtlichen Spielerschwund Wert ist...

Ich sehe das auch so wie du. Das Prinzip find ich ok und die Gedanken dahinter nachvollziehbar. Aber ich wäre dafür die Hürden zu Beginn etwas niedriger anzusetzen und dann langsam erhöhen, wenn die Leute ihren Stake aufbauen.

The SPS levels are way too high, I'm afraid it may drive out new players and force existing ones to pony up extra SPS.  I know it was in the white paper but the levels are just unreasonable in my opinion.

Wenn man so wie ich silber oder maximal gold 3 spielt, ist das ganze ohnehin nur ein zeitfresser, herein kommt da so gut wie gar nichts.
Ich käme dann nach dieser liste auf maximal silber 3, darüber gebe es dann scheinbar noch weniger rewards.
Ich glaube mir gibt das dann den letzten anstoß komplett auszusteigen, überlegen tu ich das eh schon länger, weil überhaupt nichts mehr weitergeht.
