Bin vor Kurzem von @querdenker auf die Dust-Payout-Grenze aufmerksam gemacht worden (manchmal auch Haircut genannt), weil Kommentare, die ich upgevotet habe, einmal knapp über und einmal knapp unter der Grenze gewesen sind.

Mir war das gar nicht so bewusst, dass es eine Payout-Grenze gibt. Tatsächlich werden Posts (auch Kommentare) nur dann ausbezahlt, wenn sie nach 7 Tagen mindestens STU 0.02, d.h. $0.02 (in SBD gemessen) erreicht haben.

Diese Grenze ist besonders bei Kommentaren problematisch, da diese durch die nicht-lineare Reward-Kurve seit dem letzten HF20 besonders benachteiligt wurden und diese Grenze oft gar nicht erreichen.

Übrigens gibt (gab) es neben der Dust-Payout-Grenze (STU 0.02) auch eine Dust-Vote-Grenze (50,000,000 rshares). Letztere wurde allerdings mit dem HF20 entfernt. Früher wurden besonders kleine Votes unterhalb der Dust-Vote-Grenze gar nicht auf der Blockchain gespeichert, da der Platz auf der Blockchain sehr teuer ist.

Ich finde, dass die Payout-Grenze zu hoch ist, da sie auch kursabhängig ist und besonders Kommentare trifft, die ohnehin mit dem HF20 weniger bekommen als früher. Ich könnte mir zb eine Halbierung der Grenze auf einen Cent vorstellen oder eine Umstellung auf Steem (rshares) damit die Grenze nicht kursabhängig ist. Was meint ihr zur Payout-Grenze? Wie hoch soll diese sein oder soll es diese überhaupt geben?

ps. Vote jetzt Kommentare etwas höher up, damit sie sicher oberhalb der Payout-Grenze liegen.

*Recently @querdenker drew my attention to the Dust Payout Threshold (sometimes also called haircut) because comments I upvoted were once just above and once just below the threshold.*

*I wasn't aware that there was a payout limit. In fact, posts (including comments) are only paid out if they reach at least STU 0.02, i.e. $0.02 (measured in SBD) after 7 days.*

*This limit is particularly problematic for comments, as they have been penalized by the non-linear reward curve since the last HF20 and often do not reach this limit at all.*

*By the way, besides the Dust Payout Limit (STU 0.02) there is (was) also a Dust Vote Limit (50,000,000 rshares). The latter, however, was removed with the HF20. In the past especially small votes below the Dust Vote Limit were not stored at all on the blockchain because the space on the blockchain is very expensive.*

*I think that the payout limit is too high, because it is also price-dependent and especially affects comments that get less with HF20 than before. I could imagine halving the limit to one cent or switching to Steem (rshares) so that the limit is not price-dependent. What do you think about the payout limit?
