Hola, mis amigos de Literatos. Hoy deseo compartir un tema que, aunque pertenece a los libros que se utilizan para el estudio de la Historia de la lengua española, no les traigo un libro en sentido específico, y sí cómo es que llega a la literatura en idioma español, ese que más de 470 millones de personas la tenemos como lengua materna.

Hemos heredado muchas palabras, desde los tiempos remotos y algunas son derivadas de la peregrinación, que hacían los franceses desde Los Pirineos hasta la Catedral de Santiago de Compostela.

El Camino de Santiago del Norte, también conocido como el Camino de la Costa, es una de las rutas más fascinantes y menos transitadas del famoso peregrinaje a Santiago de Compostela. A través de este recorrido, los peregrinos tienen la oportunidad de disfrutar de la belleza del litoral cantábrico, pasando por ciudades y pueblos con una rica historia y cultura. Para aquellos que están aprendiendo español, caminar por esta ruta también ofrece una excelente oportunidad para ampliar su vocabulario y mejorar su comprensión del idioma. 

En este post, rastrearemos algunos vocablos que los peregrinos nos dejaron en el idioma de Miguel de Cervantes y Saavedra y que todos deberíamos saber;  nos serán útiles y nos familiarizaremos con ellas al embarcarnos en esta aventura.

Según algunas de las entrevistas que he leído y he escuchado el viaje es una rutina de vida transformadora, que posibilita a los peregrinos tener un encuentro cercano con su espiritualidad, con personas de diferente origen lingüístico, ricas y diferentes costumbres. Las disímiles rutas que llegan a la Catedral de Santiago, están cargadas de divinos paisajes y una exquisita historia que complementan el recorrido.

La tradición oral de sus gentes y las referencias de algunos autores es la más destacable con una amplia información. Una de ellas destaca que Santiago ejerció su apostolado en la Hispania romana del siglo I.

Otros afirman que no es compatible con la falta de informes a este hecho que se observa, según su postura, en los escritos anteriores al siglo VIII. 

El intercambio cultural y lingüístico es una parte integral de la experiencia del Camino de Santiago. Los peregrinos no solo comparten historias y experiencias, sino también palabras y expresiones de sus lenguas maternas. Para realizar este viaje, los peregrinos se hospedaban en lugares que les proporcionaba alojamiento. De esta interacción con los habitantes de las ciudades y pueblos y con los mismos, que trabajaban allí es que se va conformando esta mezcla de lenguas.

**Llegan a nuestros días palabras  tales como:**
monje, linaje, vinagre, canapé, mensaje, croquis, chalet, deleitar, flan, hangar, jardín, macramé, parche, pelota, peluche, ping-pong, pompón, pose, pupitre, sofá, tarot, timbre, adorable, argot, autobús, ballet, base, cabaret, cactus, canal, cisne, perfume, taller, entre otras. 

**Algunas frases que se han quedado presentes en el idioma español, derivadas de este trasiego:**
-Que el camino salga a tu encuentro.
-Que el viento siempre esté detrás de ti y la lluvia caiga suave sobre tus campos. 
-Y hasta que nos volvamos a encontrar, que Dios te sostenga suavemente en la palma de su mano.”
-Es imprescindible caminar siempre con las ventanas de la mente abiertas de par en par para dejar que el aire refresque nuestra alma.
-No tengas prisa, porque donde has de llegar es a ti mismo; a lo más hondo de ti mismo.
-Después de la tormenta siempre viene la calma… aunque pases semanas sin ver la luz del Sol.
-No tengas miedo, deja que tu vida cambie sin dejar de aprender. -Mantente abierto y deja que la vida te ofrezca aquello que ahora ni siquiera puedes imaginar… Olvídate de todo… y disfruta de Tu Camino…
-El Camino de Santiago es un camino hacia el interior de uno mismo.
-No olvides sonreír, aunque el dolor a veces nuble tu sonrisa.
-Haz de cualquier pequeño encuentro un momento especial… Esos son los instantes que quedarán grabados para siempre en tu corazón.
-La puerta se abre a todos, enfermos y sanos; no sólo a católicos, sino aún a paganos, a judíos, herejes, ociosos y vanos; y más brevemente, a buenos y profanos.

Actualmente, el Camino de Santiago permanece desplegando su rol y sigue siendo un espacio de intercambio cultural y lingüístico. La riqueza y variedad lingüística del Camino, no solo enaltecen la experiencia de los peregrinos, sino que también favorecen al intelecto y el apoyo entre personas de diferentes orígenes.

El Camino de Santiago es una festividad de la diversidad lingüística y cultural, un viaje que nos incita a descubrir y a instruirse, a relacionar y colaborar. Es una evidencia de la potestad del idioma para unirnos y enriquecer nuestras vidas, una vía que se extiende y conquista en la misma medida en que transforma a todos aquellos que lo transitan.

No es de extrañar que existan cientos de historias, libros y frases inspiradas en el Camino, que motivan a los peregrinos a vivir esta increíble experiencia.

In many hostels and meeting points along the Camino, it is common to hear conversations in several languages. Pilgrims often learn basic words and phrases in other languages to communicate and share moments with people from different cultures. This informal and spontaneous learning is one of the riches of the Camino de Santiago.

In order to make this journey, the pilgrims stayed in places that provided them with lodging. From this interaction with the inhabitants of the towns and villages and with the people who worked there, this mixture of languages was formed.

-Make any small encounter a special moment... Those are the moments that will remain engraved forever in your heart.
-The door is open to all, the sick and the healthy; not only to Catholics, but even to pagans, to Jews, heretics, the idle and the vain; and more briefly, to the good and the profane.

Today, the Camino de Santiago continues to play its role and remains a space for cultural and linguistic exchange. The richness and linguistic variety of the Camino not only enhance the experience of pilgrims, but also favor the intellect and support between people of different origins.

The Camino de Santiago is a celebration of linguistic and cultural diversity, a journey that encourages us to discover and learn, to relate and collaborate. It is evidence of the power of language to unite us and enrich our lives, a path that extends and conquers as it transforms all those who walk it.

It is not surprising that there are hundreds of stories, books and phrases inspired by the Camino that motivate pilgrims to live this incredible experience.
