Today we continue our review of the huge exhibition of Faberge factory items located in the museum on the Fontanka River embankment in St. Petersburg. In addition to the world-famous eggs, I will show pictures of various household items, watches and decorative dishes.

***HELP FROM WEB:*** *The Faberge Museum in St. Petersburg opened in 2013. This is the first non-governmental meeting of federal significance in modern Russia. In the collection you can see the works of Carl Faberge jewelry company: the famous imperial Easter eggs, jewelry and accessories, tableware, interior items. The works of other famous jewelers of the late XIX — early XX century are also presented here.
The Faberge Museum is located in the Shuvalov Palace — one of the St. Petersburg architectural monuments of the XVIII–XIX centuries. Its left wing was erected in the 1780s on the banks of the Fontanka River for the Counts Vorontsov. The right part of the building was added later — in the early 1820s, when the palace already belonged to the chief huntsman Dmitry Naryshkin. Since 1846, it passed to the relatives of the Naryshkins, Counts Shuvalov, who owned it until the revolution.*

So that there is an understanding of what is in front of us – each item presented in the museum is handmade, made of precious metals and decorated with diamonds. The cost of each product is calculated in figures with 5-10 zeros.

Although I am not a jeweler, it is completely unclear to me how many elements in these works of art are made, because the cost of each item is estimated in hundreds of hours of painstaking work.

***СПРАВКА ИЗ СЕТИ:*** *Музей Фаберже в Санкт-Петербурге открылся в 2013 году. Это первое в современной России негосударственное собрание федерального значения. В коллекции вы можете увидеть произведения ювелирной фирмы Карла Фаберже: знаменитые императорские пасхальные яйца, ювелирные украшения и аксессуары, посуду, предметы интерьера. Здесь же представлены работы и других известных ювелиров конца XIX — начала XX века.
Музей Фаберже находится в Шуваловском дворце — одном из петербургских архитектурных памятников XVIII–XIX столетий. Его левое крыло возвели в 1780-х годах на берегу реки Фонтанки для графов Воронцовых. Правую часть здания пристроили позднее — в начале 1820-х, когда дворец уже принадлежал обер-егермейстеру Дмитрию Нарышкину. С 1846 года он перешел к родственникам Нарышкиных, графам Шуваловым, которые и владели им вплоть до революции.*

Чтобы появилось понимание того, что перед нами – каждая представленная в музее вещь выполнена вручную, изготовлеа из дразоценных металлов и украшена бриллиантами. Стоимость каждого изделия исчисляется цифрами с 5-10 нулями.

Хоть я не ювелир, но мне совершенно непонятно, как изготовлены многие элементы в этих произведениях искусства, потому что затраты на каждй предмет исчисляется сотнями часов кропотливого труда.
