# Hello my dears

I really wanted to get active in this community, because although it is something you do not know about me, I am a movie buff and addicted to the series, so I decided to share a little of this side of me, and what better way to do it here, today I come to share my humble opinion about the Netflix series **THE ONE**.

Human beings have basic biological needs: to eat, breathe, reproduce, among others. One of those that allow us to perpetuate the species is the reproductive one, and for this we have had to, at first, look for partners to do so, little by little we have evolved and what before was only to perpetuate ourselves as a species, became stable relationships where there was a preference for someone in particular, then came marriages, then we accepted relationships beyond the social norm of marriage, until today in which every human being can relate in the way they want, depending on how they perceive themselves and their sexual preference. But beyond this, looking for someone to share our life with has constituted a bit of emotional stress for human beings.

Since we were kids, at least my generation, we were bombarded with the belief that we should get the "perfect prince" or the "dream princess" to be happy in couples and live happily ever after, we have also heard legends like the "red thread" from Japan where we are all connected to someone in particular, teachings about soul mates that lead us to think about who we have been in past lives, the truth is that many dream of getting this being who is their better half and with whom to live an eternal love story.

Now, what does all this have to do with the series, well, everything, **THE ONE** came to present a situation within the morality and human ethics, in the series a geneticist scientist proposes an experiment and discovers that people can pair or get their soul mate through a DNA test where they guarantee the absolute compatibility with that other being, beyond emotions or the need for coexistence to discover and know each other, in the series the protagonist creates a company for people to take a DNA test, where the results will lead her to get that ONE person with whom she is destined to live a perfect relationship, they guarantee that it will be so, because in her experiment she discovered that everything is due to genetics and chemistry that we have as human beings.


Then, some situations begin to arise within that society where people, encouraged by this promise, begin to take this test.

If you are single, you may find this option interesting, of course, it would be leaving everything in the hands of science, then, where would be the surprise factor? The fact of meeting someone, that the relationship is being built and that little by little a love connects you based on shared preferences, and if you are already married, would you be curious to know if you are really married or not? 
Would you be curious to know if you are really married or living with your genetically compatible person?

This is the part of the series that I like the most, since these approaches begin to occur in the people of that society, **Would you take the test? And if it turns out that your partner is not, would you destroy everything you have built and would you go with the partner you got in the genetic test?**?

All these approaches seem to me extremely interesting, since something as transcendent as human relationships would be based simply on biological mechanicity, where is the soul and emotions there? 

Finding love is part of what makes us human, that inspiration that comes when you meet someone, those feelings that are experienced when you feel you are in love, everything is forged based on agreements and experiences in a relationship, in my personal point of view it would be very sad to base it only on a test.

However, the series is showing an interesting denouement that I am not going to tell you, so that if you are interested, you can watch it and then tell me your opinion.

Considering all these possibilities, a society where couples are united by a DNA test seems like science fiction, but I believe that nowadays, we are closer than we think to this possibility, and everyone will make the decision that makes them feel better and will assume the consequences.

Tenía muchas ganas de activarme en esta comunidad, pues aunque es algo que no conocen de mí, soy cinéfila y adicta a las series, así que he decidido compartir un poco de esta faceta mía, y que mejor que hacerlo por aquí,hoy vengo a compartirles mi humilde opinión sobre la serie de Netflix  **THE ONE**

Los seres humanos tenemos necesidades biológicas básicas, comer, respirar, reproducirnos, entre otras. Una de las que permiten perpetuar la especie es la reproductiva, y para ello hemos tenido que, al principio, buscar parejas para hacerlo, poco a poco hemos evolucionado y lo que antes era sólo para perpetuarnos como especie, se convirtió en relaciones estables donde había una preferencia por alguien en particular, luego llegaron los matrimonios, después fuimos aceptando relaciones más allá de la norma social del matrimonio, hasta hoy en que cada ser humano puede relacionarse de la forma que lo desee, dependiendo de cómo se perciba y su preferencia sexual. Pero más allá de esto, buscar a alguien con quién compartir nuestra vida a constituido un poco de estrés emocional para los seres humanos.

Desde pequeños, por lo menos mi generación, fuimos bombardeados con la creencia de que debíamos conseguir el "príncipe perfecto" o la "princesa soñada" para ser felices en parejas y vivir felices para siempre, también hemos escuchado leyendas como el "hilo rojo" de Japón donde todos estamos conectados con alguien en particular, enseñanzas sobre almas gemelas que nos llevan a pensar en quienes hemos sido en las vidas pasadas, lo cierto es que muchos sueñan con conseguir este ser que sea su media naranja y con la cual vivir una historia de amor eterna.

Ahora, que tiene que ver todo esto con la serie, pues todo, **THE ONE** vino a presentar una situación dentro de la moralidad y la ética humana, en la serie una científica genetista propone un experiemento y descubre que las personas pueden emparejarse o conseguir su alma gemela a través de una prueba de ADN donde le garantizan la compatibilidad absoluta con ese otro ser, más allá de las emociones o de la necesidad de la convivencia para descubrirse y conocerse, en la serie la protagonista crea una empresa para que las personas se realicen una prueba de ADN, donde los resultados le llevarán a conseguir esa ÚNICA persona con la cuál está destinada a vivir una relación de pareja perfecta, le garantizan que será así, porque en su experimento ella descubrió que todo se debe a la genética y química que tenemos como seres humanos.

Entonces se comienzan a dar ciertas situaciones dentro de esa sociedad donde las personas aupadas por esta promesa se empiezan a realizar está prueba.

**Allí es donde nace la pregunta del título**

##### ¿Buscarías a tu alma gemela a través de una prueba de ADN?

Si eres soltero o soltera, es posible que esta opción te parezca interesante, claro, sería dejar todo en manos de la ciencia, entonces, ¿Dónde quedaría ese factor sorpresa? , el hecho de conocer a alguien, que la relación se vaya construyendo y que poco a poco los conecte un amor en base a las preferencias compartidas, y si eres casado ya, 
¿Tendrías la curiosidad de saber si realmente estás casado o estás viviendo con tu persona genéticamente compatible?

Esta es la parte de la serie que más me gusta, ya que comienzan a darse estos planteamientos en las personas de esa sociedad, **¿Te harías la prueba? ¿Y si resulta que tú pareja no es, destruirían todo lo construido y te irías con la pareja que te han conseguido en la prueba genética?**

Todos estos planteamientos me parecen sumamente interesantes, ya que algo tan trascendente como lo son las relaciones humanas quedarían basadas simplemente en la mecanicidad biológica, ¿Dónde queda el alma y las emociones allí? 

Encontrar el amor es parte de lo que nos hace humanos, esa inspiración que llega cuando conoces a alguien, esos sentimientos que se experimentan cuando sientes que estás enamorado, todo se va forjando en base a acuerdos y experiencias en una relación, en mi punto de vista personal sería muy triste basarlo sólo en una prueba.

Sin embargo, la serie va mostrando un desenlace interesante que no les voy a contar, para que si les interesa, la puedan ver y luego me cuenten su opinión.

Dentro de todas estas posibilidades, plantearse una sociedad donde las parejas se unan por una prueba de ADN parece de ciencia ficción, pero creo hoy en dia, estamos más cerca de lo que creemos de esta posibilidad, y cada quién en su momento tomará la desición que le haga sentir mejor y asumirá las consecuencias.
